Just awesome

I lived around the corner from this gem for 4 years and loved being there. The friendly family who make everything in the back like in the old days. Large assortment of fresh pastas, cheeses, cured meats, etc was great. Recently, the small space has become somewhat unbearable. With the people ordering 1/4 pound of this and 1/8 pound of that, you can wait for 1/2 or more just to get something.

• Cons: very tight

Carroll Gardens gem

Everything they stock at this Italian goods store is top-notch. Some of my favorites include the spicy sopresotta, homemade turkey lunch meat, roasted vegetable ravioli and homemade chicken noodle soup. The goods don't stop there, though, there's plenty of olives, cheeses, meats, crackers, olive oil, cookies, to make your dinner party (or just a night in) a tasty one. I'm lucky it's in my neighborhood, but it'd be worth the trip no matter where you lived.

A Great Place to Shop

Caputo's Fine Foods is the best Italian deli in Brooklyn! I just love the food and the atmosphere. When you walk inside, there is always something delicious cooking. Their mozzarella is always fresh! The best part is that you feel like part of the family when you walk inside. The workers are always kind and love to talk about the products they sell. They truly know about the products they sell! Caputo's is a great place to shop!

• Pros: Great Products! A huge selection of imported and domestic cheeses! Thumbs Up!
• Cons: Parking can be hard
