hi..this memo is mainly for my clients who are on the lookout for me..and for those of you who have never been to me...please feel free to stop by and say hello or call for a consultation appointment.. I would be more than happy to meet you....
-previously of the Aveda salon off 4th st. & 7th ave in PS..and still working in the LES...this salon has a light, cheery and positive feel..the best atmosphere for any creative to work in..and it's not micro-managed even better...the salon has been here in the neighborhood for over 10 years for a reason...we put out great work!..no-nonsense and no pretention..and we're still growing strong and prospering...
hope to see you here soon,
Lauren
- Pros: we give complimentary bang trims to walk-in too!
- Cons: it's a busy salon and the space can sometimes get tight
If you're looking for a great make over...

I was looking for an experienced hair stylist that has some sense of fashion and what looks good on me... Chai cut my hair in a way that flattered the shape of my face and the color was amazing.. She wasn't afraid to step it up a notch, while keeping it somewhat conservative. She understands the importance of a consultation. She actually "listens" and therefore she delivers brilliance.

Been going to Le Chandelier for years now and have never been disappointed at all. I have used a few of the stylists there and have always had good results. They listen to what you want. I would highly recommend this salon!!
- Pros: Best Hair Cut in Town
- Cons: NONE!

I found Marc at Delilah on Fourth Ave. between Union and President. The number is 718 797 2690. He listens well, gives a great cut and good suggestions when I want to try something new.
- Pros: great haircut with blowdry included in the price
- Cons: basic salon

Always consistant cuts and colors. I've been very happy and even though I moved to queens, I still take the train back to LE CHANDELIER because "I'm worth it"
- Pros: great vibe, great stylists
- Cons: none

I got a haircut with Chai and she did not know how to cut fine hair, it came out terrible, and she took 5 min to cut, I will not go back, and I told all my friends too
My New Salon
by ville3
I recently moved from Chelsea to Park Slope. My friend told me Le Chandelier was the longest surviving salon on Fifth Avenue and that they have been in business for twelve years, so i decided to check them out. What I really liked is the "down to earth", non-intimidating, friendly atmosphere. The staff made me feel comfortable. Its a small salon with only three working chairs. I went with the owner and came out with one of the best haircuts I ever had. She let me dry under a head dryer, which I was I never had done and retouched the haircut after. I was amazed that my hair did not give me a problem even after I washed it at home two days later! I'm definately going back. She did not try to convince me to buy products either. When my friends visit me from Manhattan, I will try to get them to come here too. I'm sold!
- Pros: Great street location with things to do afterwards.
- Cons: Salon is small.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY
by seluproductions
I've been going to Le Chandelier for a couple years. There is a high turnover rate for stylists, and I have tried a bunch of different people - some good, some bad. Unfortunately the good ones don't stick around! Recently I went in for a trim and a stylist took it upon himself to cut over two inches off my length without consulting me! This salon has proven again and again to be UNPROFESSIONAL. That was the final straw and I won't be going back. I'm tired of paying A LOT OF MONEY for an unprofessional haircut/color. Go somewhere where your money will be worth it.
- Pros: location
- Cons: unprofessional
