Madison Ave in Park Slope
by reddreamer at Citysearch
I live in Manhattan and treat myself to the best and that's why I go to Elan Salon in Park Slopes, the owner Ella makes me feel so special, the entire staff are very professional and they all do their jobs well - I've been to all the salon's on Madison Ave and I would always find fault and at Elan Salon I can't say anything bad, they are extremely courteous and I enjoy giving them my money (which is not much in comparision to Manhattan salons).
- Pros: Prices
- Cons: none

Great Place for haircut and hair color
by SL2010 at Citysearch
my friend recommended me to get my hair done by an awesome hairstylist and colorist. Her name is Svetlana. She is an awesome lady, very professional and knew exactly what I needed. She chose the hair cut style for me and recommended me to change my hair color. I got out of that place as a completely different person...I loved it, my friends loved it too and I've got so many compliments from friends and family.
- Pros: best hairstylist in town!!!
best salon!!
by xevilx at Citysearch
I went in for a deep tissue massage and it was absolutely fabulous. I came in with a lot of pain and it went away the next day thanks to Leo! I also had a facial by Marina and it was amazing. My skin felt like new and I was recommended products to keep my skin healthy that they sell right in the salon. I was astonished at how good they make my skin feel. With todays economy, the prices are very reasonable and I will definitely be returning.
- Pros: great massages, facials and prices
- Cons: none
best hair stylist, great facials
by nycaddict at Citysearch
The first time I went here, i got my hair done. I am very particular about my hair and have been to multiple salons before, Elan Salon was the bestt! I got a haircut and highlights. She knew exactly what to do in order for it to suit me. The cut was perfect! The color was perfect! I've been getting so many compliments ever since. While I was waiting for the color to penetrate, the staff offered me coffee/tea, cookies, everybody was just so polite. The next time I came here for a facial. It was the most relaxed I had been in weeks. It was such a calm and relaxing atmosphere, and Marina did such a good job. She was very professional and left my skin flawless after a few visits. She recommended I use the Guinot product line, and picked out exactly what I needed. I'm usually allergic but this didn't give me any bad reactions and was natural. They even sell this line right in the salon, which was very convenient. Overall, this salon is highly professional and offers a lot of great services. This is the best salon in Park Slope. I will definitely be returning to continue my services and experiment with new ones! =)
- Pros: professional staff, great services
- Cons: none
Best Salon in Brooklyn, Highly Recommend !
by vsgal at Citysearch
I was recommended to go to Elan Salon, over a year ago. I enjoy going there, they are very pleasant, they greet you, the receptionist offers you coffee or tea. The salon is in a very nice area, and is beautiful inside. I went to get a bikini wax from Galina, she did a wonderful job, painless aswell. I go to Tanya for manicure and pedicure, she is amazing. The whole atmosphere in the salon is very nice, everyone there is very greeting. There's no wait at all. Very pleased with the salon, go get your hair, nails, facials done there.
- Pros: very greeting, no wait, wonderful workers
Best Day Spa, relaxing and affordable
by vickks at Citysearch
The first time I went there was about a year ago... I fell in love!! I've been to many salons before and this is absolutely the best! I go to Galina for any wax. She's quick, professional, painfree and just amazing! They have private rooms and they're always so clean and calming. I get mani/ pedi's there also and I think I just about tried everybody. They all did a great job. I also get my hair cut and highlights there and I'm always very satified. They always know what to recommend. I go to both Andis and Nelly. Massages are to die for!! The swedish massage was very relaxing. It made me never want to leave. They also have a lot of other massages. The massage room has a fireplace, calming music, and it always smells so good! They have the most professional and friendly staff, great management, and a relaxing atmosphere. The best part of it all is that they're so inexpensive. I've bought many gift certificates there before for my friends. They have a great selection and you can customize your own gift certificate and the packaging is so nice.
- Pros: inexpensive, professional service
- Cons: none
Best Brazilian
by bunnyllove at Citysearch
I just moved to Brooklyn a few months ago and haven't been waxed since. I was in desperate need. I saw Natasha who gave me one of the best overall waxes I have ever had. SInce I hadn't been waxed in awhile I was expecting it to hurt like hell but it barley hurt at all. She was very gentle and thorough and talked to me the whole time to get my mind off the pain. I would strongly recommend her.
- Pros: Inexpensive and great work
- Cons: none

I went for a massage and was told I should get a "deep tissue" massage. Not being a fool and pretty wise to how spas work, I said "no thank you, the swedish is fine." I've had many before at many other places but this was way too light and I felt just as tense leaving as I did walking in, only $70 poorer. With so much competition in the neighborhood, I'd think they'd try a little harder to keep repeat customers.
Amazing bikini wax!
by soft_kitten at Citysearch
The first time I went here, the bikini wax was so fast, I didn't have time to say "ow!". The second time I literally felt nothing. I highly recommend going regularly, because the next time I waited too long and it hurt, but was still fast and efficient.
I found the staff very welcoming and I've never waited more than a few minutes from when I stepped in the door. The atmosphere isn't very "spalike" so I probably wouldn't go here for massage and I only trust one woman to cut my hair, but as far as a regular bikini wax goes it's great. (They also used to be dirt-cheap at $15, but now they're $20. Still a good deal.)
- Pros: Friendly staff, experienced and fast waxers
- Cons: Setting, decoration, a little messy (but not dirty)
