do not EAT here

by ashcunnings

okay this place has been open for maybe 25 years or more and growing up we ate here often its always been run down but its local and open 24.7 last year i got a burger and fries and got a hair in my food. A few months later my brother in law ordered take out to find cigar ashes in his french fries. So now we banned going here for about 2 years, until last week some friends were in town from california and we went out to a bar and around 3 am they wanted to get a bite to eat and wanted to go the diner being that it was the only thing open.. we go in and sit way in the back by the kitch... the kitchen floor was filthy im talking DIRTY, spoiled onions, NASTY....we get a waitress named therea SHE WAS SO RUDE AND JUST AWFUL. i decided i wasnt going to eat because i was grossed out by the kitchen floor and past experiences.. so i ordered a boston creme donut WHICH WAS SPOILEDDDDDDDDD, the cream was sour as heck theresa apologized and said it was from the heat because the air conditioning broke down and gave me another donut which was hard as a brick. at this point i didnt want anything except to go home and leave everyone else had grill cheese and fries which they were happy with , until the NEXT morning FOOD POISIONING imagine a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom park slope apartment with 3 people with food posioning for 3 days. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN.

  • Pros: open 24.7
  • Cons: dirty, spoiled food, dirty kitchen floor, horrible service

Good Donuts if you get them fresh

by delirous

Have not had the food, but the donuts are good if you get them fresh. They are warm, soft, sweet, and delicate. Good job.

  • Pros: Glazed donuts
  • Cons: little grungy

it's the middle of the night. who else will deliver a steak wrap and donut to your fat a????

by loristf

Sometimes no choice is a mucho delicioso choice. No options=best restaurant ever. Burger is fine, grilled cheese is delightful, avoid mushy veggie burger, don't get fries delivered. Delivery takes at least an hour but by the time you're craving it, you will be willing to suffer thru that...

  • Pros: 24 hours
  • Cons: kinda gross

Beyond the windowfront rack of creampuffs, crullers and cinnamon buns is a full-service, cash-only coffeeshop that's open 'round the clock.

In Short
Easy to miss, this alley-wide eatery is always awash with light, as fluorescents bounce off the mirrors on the left side and the white tiled wall on the right. Besides the many booths, a sit-down counter runs nearly the length of the establishment as does an overhead, red-and-white light-board menu from which customers order knockwurst and sauerkraut or sardine sandwiches as well as commonplace choices like burgers, souvlaki or eggs any style. Specials abound.
