Try the Scallion Cream Cheese
by bouncingsoul66
This place is right across the street from my house and it is a great bagel shop. Their bagels are homemade and I am absolutely addicted to their scallion cream cheese. Their prices are a little expensive ($2 for scallion cream cheese), but it's well worth it.
The service is ridiculous, they have no real system of taking orders, ringing you up, etc. but the place is always packed. My only complaint is that it seems that in the summer, they don't toast the bagels because it's too hot out. I hate to tell you this, guys, but you're a freaking bagel shop. Toasting is a must.
Despite that, they have great bagels and great specialty toppings.
- Pros: food
- Cons: service
needs people skills

ordered a sandich and a few pastries. It took forever for no reason. the place wasn't packed. A girl asked what we had, rang us up and handed us a bag with what we thought was our sandwich. At home we learned we were wrong. I took the sandwich back, and as soon as I returned with the wrong food one of the workers said "you grabbed the wrong bag" I said "no" he said, "well your boyfriend did." I said "we were handed this bag." someone else said they were sorry. I handed over the wrong food and got the right order. As I was leaving the same girl who gave us the wrong bag asked one of the employees if they were going to charge us for the first order that we returned. Are you serious? Get your act together. It's only sandwiches. It's too bad the food is good because the people skills are terrible.
- Pros: the food is tasty
- Cons: the service and friendliness is terrible
Great - Authentic - Brooklyn

This place rocks and it is a must to visit when in town. They are truly the Brooklyn deli. Don't be alarmed when you squeeze in the door and people are yelling for an order. That is NY. Their food is out of this world and you will get much more than what you pay for. I have enjoyed their huge bagels and their huge BBQ Hero. The Hero was so big I could only eat 1/3 of it so I gave the rest away and it only cost me 8 bucks! Don't miss this place!!!
- Pros: Fair price, great service, authentic environment, locals love it
Wow, these bagels are good.

La Bagel Delight really is the best bagels in Brooklyn. the everything bagels are covered in delicious everything things, the sesame bagels are great, basically all the bagels are, well, delightful. the deli meats are awesome and whether you bring home your bagel and toast it yourself or have them toast it, or you just eat it cold(but the bagels are always fresh from the oven, so untoasted is the word), they are the best bagels in brooklyn. I must say that they are much better at toasting bagels than me, they're brilliant. And the staff are so nice, but don't waste time, so there's never a line and always a smile. Sometimes they put too much cream cheese, but if you ask for a shmear, you'll get the perfect amount.
- Pros: Best Bagels EVER, Awesome staff, Good Deli Meat
- Cons: too much cream cheese
BEST BAGELS. PERIOD.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. best bagels and coffee in the city---HANDS DOWN!!! perfect ratio of crusty outside and chewy inside. man o man, i love this place. the service is great--efficient without being rude. THANK YOU, LA BAGEL DELIGHT!
ps. their 7th ave and 5th street location is much better than their one down the street on 7th ave.
- Pros: best bagels, best coffee, great service
- Cons: , too much cream cheese
You're Welcome!

Big, plump and soft bagels, along with a great selection of deli meats and other toppings make this bagel place tops (over any Pick-A-Bagel or H&H). But the most prominent feature is the unnaturally nice and welcoming staff, with smiles that seem almost pinned to their faces.
Brooklyn's Best

Despite the cheesy name, you can get some serious bagels here -- even bialys, on a good day. Other breakfast goods -- muffins, etc. -- are good, too, but it's really the deli sandwiches that are the runners-up for excellent eating.
