Delicious Meal - Neighborhood Gem
by ViennaD
The food was well prepared, delicious, and the portions perfect. My veal was wonderfully tender, the way quality veal should be. The service was impeccable, and we were permitted to enjoy our meal at our own pace. The wine was wonderful. The tables are perfectly placed to enjoy private conversations and an enjoyable dining experience. A nice variety of music was being played in the background, specifically some Sinatra, Glenn Miller, Nora Jones, etc. Prices perfect. The owner needs to apply a fresh coat of paint to the interior and add some appropriate artwork. Otherwise, a very enjoyable evening was had by all.
- Pros: Delicious, well prepared, food. Great service.
- Cons: Interior needs fresh paint and artwork.
Loved Eating At Chianti's
by JoPezz
First time i ate at Chianti's was at my friends Bridal Shower that was held there and I enjoyed all the food served. I couldnt get enough and walked out completely stuffed. The food was served family style at this party and there was so much of it. More enough for people at the table to eat for 2nd and even 3rd servings. Right there i was impressed. Raised in an Italian Family Restaurant Business my whole life I'd like to say that i know what good food tastes like and Chianti has it. Because I enjoyed the atmosphere, the service and most importantly the food I have already booked 2 future parties. I cant wait :0)))))

If you want a flavor of Italian homestyle gormet specialites Chianti's is the p[lace for you . I go there as often as I can because the menu changes every week along with the taditional plates I enjoy. I recommend it anytime your in Brooklyn.

Food was very good. Nice varity not seen in too many other restaurants (e.g. fried squash blossoms, etc.) Service was good not great, waiters stood around, didn't ask how everything was
- Pros: Good Food
What a waste of time and money!

We'd read the good reviews of Chianti, but when my husband and I went, we were disappointed. Although the restaurant was far from crowded (maybe three tables), service was abysmally slow, to the point that we wondered if the server was trying to avoid us. Twice, the wines we wanted (on their wine list) were not available and the wine we got, supposedly a great one, was not. The food was completely forgettable, but the price for this experience was pretty high, to say the least. We will not be back; there are some great Italian restaurants in Bay Ridge, but this isn't one.
- Pros: not crowded, fairly quiet, no reservation needed
- Cons: horridly slow service, poor food quality, skimpy/poor wine list
Good Meals

We went here because we had older Italian-American visitors who aren't adventurous eaters. What a pleasant surprise! Everything we ordered was really good. I had a grilled chicken with vegetables that was fresh and succulent. The veal rollatini and chicken chianti got rave reviews as well. The hot antipasti was plentiful and well served. We ordered one dessert and they thoughtfully presented it for the four of us. Give this place a try.
- Pros: great food, decent service
- Cons: unattractive decor
