An interactive space that invites folks of all ages to touch, climb and yell at the art.

The Scene
Thanks to its riveting solar-powered kinetic window displays, the intimate Micro Museum has become something of a Boerum Hill landmark since opening in 1996. Kathleen and William Laziza are the masterminds behind this hands-on, let-loose space, where touching piano keys makes pinwheels turn and yodeling out loud triggers colored bulbs. Other popular pieces in the collection are a gigantic chair (mounting encouraged) and a concert upright victrola that blows bubbles while playing records from the Met's authentic 1978 collection.
The Collection
Though exhibits change annually, installations typically combine video technology with performing and visual arts. But descriptions do no good. Your best bet is to pay a visit--which includes a guided tour--either on one of the "Odd Sundays" or by calling for an appointment.
