Not worth your time!

I don't understand why this place has so many good reviews... the service is very slow, despite 5-6 people working in the kitchen, with only a few guests...
The food was so bad I barely ate any of it. The girl forgot to serve one of the dishes I ordered. She also didnt bring out the salad that my stuffed squash is served with . When I asked her about it she said "you want it?" It's like "duh" of course I want it, thats partly why I ordered the dish. This sleepy place is not worth your time or money.
- Pros: Can't think of anything.
- Cons: Bad food, very slow and inaccurate service.

excellent authentic cuisine, great value, and warm and welcoming service. We're not of Middle Eastern descent, but have Lebanese and Palestinian friends (one of whom owns a Middle Eastern restaurant) and we like Mediterranean food.
This past May, my wife, son, a Lebanese friend, and I, all from San Diego, visited our other son who lives in Brooklyn Heights. He took us to Waterfalls Cafe, one of his favorite local eateries, for dinner.
We were warmly greeted at the door by the owner. The other patrons were mainly Middle Eastern, a recommendation in itself.
For an appetizer, we ordered a vegetarian platter (hummos, bagaghanouj, and tabouleh) served with homemade pita bread. The hummos (chickpea paste) was wonderfully moist, rich, and garlicky. The bagaghanouj (eggplant paste) had a delightful complex garlicky flavor and light texture. The tebouleh (chopped parsley vegetable salad) was also flavorful and beautiful to look at.
I had marinated lamb kabob for dinner; tender, flavorful, and juicy. My wife had the chicken shawarma plate. I don't recall what others ordered, but everybody's food was delicious. The tea we all had was typical Middle Eastern tea, meaning aromatic and a perfect complement to the food.
Service was prompt and friendly but not pushy. Sadly, we were too full for desert.
The total bill for dinner for the five of us came to under $70! Amazing for quality cuisine in a New York cafe!
We'll eat at Waterfalls Cafe our next trip to Brooklyn, and will eat there regularly, as our son does, if we end up moving to the city.
- Pros: Warm and friendly service, excellent authentic food, excellent value.
- Cons: The neighborhood is a typical small retail business zone.

Terrible Customer Service

This is a tastefully decorated, fun looking place in a nice area of Brooklyn. The food is not bad, but I've definitely had better in this general area of Brooklyn. There's a better middle eastern restaurant on Smith.
The lady running the place was the only person serving the dining room, my guess is to save money, but ultimately customer service was poor with only one person trying to keep up with multiple diners in the dining room.
When our order was taken, nothing was written down, probably trying to look sophistocated, but as you can imagine the order took a long time to come out and ultimately wasn't right. When I tried to point out that I was given an entree that was different than what I ordered, she appeared unconcerned. Not even an I'm sorry, just a try it......you'll like it. I didn't like it.......a chicken dish when I ordered a completely different beef dish. Why spend all the time looking at the menu when you're not really sure what will come out and be served to you ?
- Pros: food
- Cons: Customer Service, Parking

by abbi1234567890
The food is good, however, they do not pay attention and deliveries rarely arrive complete. Most importantly, the woman who owns and operates the place is extremely RUDE and not accomodating in the least.
- Pros: good food
- Cons: rude staff
