Its three strikes and your out like a ball game!

I look at this res as a baseball game, three chances to impress me and thats it iam fed up with this place. I have always had a problem with waitresses there. They always have attitudes. They take forever to serve you and bring you the check. I ask for a refill of coffee and the lady says have some patience. I only have a haif hour lunch break dont have time for this nonsense not coming back here rather go to the canyon everybody takes care of me very well.

• Pros: Its near my office by at least two blocks
• Cons: waitresses bad attitudes.

worst italian food and staff ever seen

I used to eat in this place once in a while. I started to notice not much has changed after so many arguments with wait staff because they were either too slow or got the orders wrong, decided to get an order to go, ordered the meat lasania they give me the cheese instead over charged me by 5 bucks on the bill and over charged me for the drink i ordered. I told them they made a mistake because i know the menu by heart and lasania is not 14 bucks the rude heavy set lady that was behind the counter said listen we know our job better then you think and we have been doing things alot better then any res in the heights. apparently shes wrong these people dont know how to serve or treat their customer, even calling for a delivery was impossible because they dont get the orders right and they add a service charge which is really whack.

decent food but service is slow and rude

I have been eating in this place with my husband for a number of years as the last few years gone by the place has gotton worse in terms of service. They keep hiring very slow and profoundly rude wait staff. by the time we recieved the food and the check an hour has gone by. Its a shame because the pizza is not that bad. Iam sorry not going back the traviata had too many chances this is the last.

decreppted food and service

the food and the service in this place is really bad the entire staff moves very slow and is not welcoming the manager just stands around and watches everything and doesnt seem to care when we tried to say something. the lasania made my wife go to the bathroom three times must have been over cooked or something. this is a real bad place to be get better service from montys

good food rude new staff

I ate in this place tonight lasania was fantastic and so were the beers. The thing that annoyed me was the exceedingly wicked bartender and her attitude my order took 20 min to go through. I asked wheres the bread and beer because she forgot it. the person replies relax man your bread is coming man. Iam sorry this baron queen needs help she is in a high class restaurant and talks to people as though she is in the rougher part of town. The only thing that makes me come back is the food and the manager she is a terrific person and knows how to take care of the customers and the store if it were up to that other person at the bar the place would have been out of business years ago which is a shame because it is a good store with the wrong people in it!

it was like surviving a bad heatwave

The first time I went in this place it was two weekends ago with one of my dates which i forgot to mention to be honest sitting at the bar really felt like a tremendous heat wave. The server behind the counter was profoundly wicked and slow. It took twenty min for my order to go through. I ask for the check about four different times and she was nowhere to be found. I finally say to her can i have my check please i waited a while, she replies have some patience will you ive had a long day! I could tell i was over charged in certain areas but i let it slide what a night that was after two times going in there thats about it for me unless i get served by the manager who i happen to know and who is so nice to everyone in the area.

Terrible Service!!

I went to this restaurant twice in brooklyn. The food is good and the prices are reasonable for the amount of food per dish. The first time I went a few months ago and I walked out because the waitresses acted as if we were invisible, but since it was crowded I gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried again yesterday.

I just cannot get use to their poor service. I am not sure if it is just me and my company or my complexion but the waitress was actually insulting. She politely took my order and asked me if I wanted to have chicken with it. I responded pleasantly, stating that I did not know it came with chicken since I did not see it on the menu, but it would be nice. She told me to learn to read and grabbed the menu. I asked her to show me on the menu where it says it comes with chicken and lo and behold when she checked, the dish I ordered did not come with chicken. Needless to say, that is LAST time I will be eating there. It would truly beneift them to have waitresses that know how to treat ALL their paying customers.

Great Italian

The food is great here, bread a little hard and cold but hey. Not really any italians actually in there, but the food tastes pretty italian. Before I stopped eating cheese I can tell you, great eggplant parmigiana, eggplant rollatine, good fried zuchini. the pasta is good, good setting, romantic, can be a little loud at times because of so many people, sometimes a little wait on the weekends in the late evening early night.

Great neighborhood italian

Went to Traviata for first time dinner on Tues night. We were six plus one baby. Waitstaff extremely attentive but place was not busy. My martini was decent. Wine list was short but they were out of few things. Bottles were inexpensive. Each pasta dish was big enough for about two people. Got the eggplant parmesean with side of spaghetti. Noodles perfectly al dente, red sauce perfectly sweet, sour & acidic. Best eggplant and red sauce I have had in ages. Note that this place is not really haute cuisine and for some foodies, the palette of the menu may be too obvious, but for what it is, it's darn good and fresh. I live in Sheepshead and I would stop by this place to pick up eggplant for dinner anytime. My friends got a few more pasta dishes "on the rocks"-- that is, with shrimp crab meat & peas in vodka sauce. Their dishes were pretty fabulous. Lobster ravioli was fresh and creamy, and not fishy at all.

• Cons: not haute cuisine (but fresh & tasty!), not extremely romantice

really good italian

the food was off the hook. the waiter i had was funny an good. he would check on us and everything. they have really good food there. I love italian food, so i know good food from bad food anyday. the portions are good sizes. i couldnt finish it all. i love to eat left over italian food. im not sure about the prices because i didnt pay.LOL!!! they also have a lot of different pasta noodles to choose from unlike some other italian places. take the family or go out with friends or have a date there its really good.
