you cant find a real bagel in brooklyn anymore

To begin with, the bagels at this place are not great. They are not the worst in the world, but it makes me sad that you can't find a good bagel in Brooklyn anymore. The place is filthy as well. I shudder to think of how many health code violations they have racked up. The service is the worst though. I get bagels for my office every week, and decided to give this place a go. I asked for 4 dozen mixed bagels and got all the way to Queens before realizing they gave me all plain bagels. When I called, they made it seem like this was my fault and were unwilling to offer any sort of compensation for their error. There is no more customer service I guess. This is the last time I'll get a bagel here.

Fresh, cheap

Like their bagels! Fresh and very cheap. Small space but extra seating outside. Recommend for a good and cheap breakfast. Fast service, ok-friendly.

Best Bagels Hands Down!!!!!

These are the best bagels hands down in NYC. I have since moved to LI but still work in the Heights and I have to take these bagels home not only for my family but for friends as well. Great Bagels, great Catering, fair priced and excellent service!!! What more can you ask for? Did you say well I need a place that is open late, well they Never Close!!! I luv the place.

Great bagels and always open

The bagels are really really good, the service is quick, the variety is excellent. It's nice to have a down-to-earth quality food store on Montague. Also they are always open, so coming home after a late night at the office, it's a convenient place to buy an ice-cold beer and maybe an everything bagel.

HANDS DOWN, best bagels EVER!!!

They do great catering too, I used them twice now--- both times were perfect. Service is also excellent...highly recommended!

I'll skip the treatise on what makes a good bagel that NY bagel devotees are so prone to, but suffice it to say that I still make the trek back to Brooklyn Heights (from Manhattan) to get these perfect chewy treasures. And it's open 24 hours! Don't plan on eating here - it's a no-nonsense take-out only spot.

By the way, their Italian Tuna makes a delicious filling, if you're into that sort of thing.
