Nice quaint store, helpful people
by CChang6666
I was pleased to find a store in the area that carried a specific treat for my pugs. I was more pleased when I met the people that work there. Very cheerful , helpful , and they just seem to want to go out of their way for you.
It's nice to have a quaint mom and pop kind of shop down the block from me.
- Pros: Very helpful
Great price>Location>Staff
by BilliPatK
Very nice to find people that are in the pet biz because they care about what they do. I am glad to have found your establishment. I used to use tailored pet and was told not to use this place by some people in the area, but it seems they had a different agenda other than playing fair. I popped in and checked your place out, and really like what your store offers. I will be a long time client. I also loved the grooming you did on my Bichon. Good local place, we need more.
- Pros: PRICE.LOATION.STAFF.SERVICE
Stopped in over the weekend and Was WOWED
by JeanAnneV
I stopped in for some dog food and left with a degree in animal science and nutrition. The owner Tom walked me through over 30mins of pet nutrition and help, he is very well versed on pet health. They helped me get a new vet which I love and just welcomed me to the area. Not only did they win over a new client but made me feel like this was a neighborhood I will stay in for a long time to come. Thanks for the welcoming and advice. Jeannie
- Pros: Really nice owner
Really nice place,, good prices,, good staff.
by CybilLacey
This is a really nice place. I was pleasently suprised when I picked up my dog. She looked great, the price was right, I received a free spa/goodie bag for my pup, and I got to see her playing in the back with some other pups. I like the fact this place does not keep dogs in kennels for hours, they dont muzzle and they make sure your satisfied with all your needs and concerns. I would reccommend this place to all my friends and family.
- Pros: price, grooming, staff
- Cons: booked way in advanced for grooming
Absolutely, unquestionably THE BEST!!!!

I cant express what a relief it was to finally find a groomer in brooklyn who not only accepts cats but knows how to do it RIGHT - WITHOUT muzzles, tranquilizers, constraints, etc. AND at the right price! Since they schedule cats at the end of the day, after the dogs are gone, the store was a quiet, non-threatening environment for them. I overheard the entire grooming process for both of my longhaired cats through the wall...the groomer talked to them reassuringly and I was told his assistant gave them a special ear rub the entire time to calm them. I did not hear a single meow, which is incredible considering they scream through every bath I give them! Usually when I bring them home after a Lion cut they hide under the bed for a few hours, but this time they were romping around as if nothing had happened! Can't recommend Perfect Paws enough!
- Pros: knows the special care it takes to groom skittish kitties!
Perfect Paws are rip offs
by Lucaobc
It's safe to say I will never go to Perfect Paws again. These people are complete rip offs. Not only does your dog have to be in perfect condition prior to his grooming they're also the most expensive groomers I've ever come across. God forbid your your dog should have a few tangles, not only will you hear it from them but they will punish you by charging you extra to do their job!!
I have a 10lb Shih Tzu who coat is in perfect condition as he's brush every other day, (he actually loves it), however, this is not good enough for Perfect Paws and if they have to detangle an area they charge you $20+ extra. To trim and wash my 10lb dog my bill
was $92. Are you kidding me!! I now understand why many of my neighbors no longer go to Perfect Paws. Keep up the 'good work' guys you sure know how to lose customers.
- Cons: $92 to groom a 10lb dog!!!
Very nice people

I have been going to the Tailored Pet for many years. I had an appointment on Thursday of this past week. When I got to the shop they had a note saying not open until further notice. Iwas shocked. I know Serena died, but I thought they would go on witht he groomer. I was upset since I took the morning off to have my dog groomed, and to find out no one was there annoyed me. I walked over to Perfect Paws and a very nice gentleman said they could accommodate me, I told them what happened and he was very kind on the matter of Serena dying. I have never thought about using a different groomer but times change. I should have been called or notified if the Tailored Pet was undergoing a change as to not inconvienence me and my day. Well I have found a new groomer and the store is a nice place with nice people. A new year a new era and a new groomer. I would recommend this place to all.
- Pros: Very sweet people, good price and good grooming
Wrong Grooming shop
by Cosmo54321
My nanny took my dog to your grooming shop by mistake. I wanted a scissored puppy cut and my dog came back all chopped up. You also charged twenty dollars more than the other grooming shops nearby. In the future if you know a dog goes to another grooming shop and he is there by mistake please point out the error. I lived in Manhattan and know good grooming. Not being nasty but angry.
loved it

i brought my young yorkie there .. they assured me he would be ok .. no kennels or muzzles... they took away but they said it was only cause i had a puppy and they wanted my dog to feel comfortablewhich he was .. when i went to pick him up the young lady that groomed him was sweet and kind... she did an awsome job .. they have one of the best staffs that ive seen in a while ..
- Pros: awsome work
Definitely Recommend!

I really like Perfect Paws. I live a few houses away from them so they are super convenient but also really friendly, they do a great job and I just love the bandannas the dogs get after grooming! Almost every time I go in there for grooming I can't help but pick up something for my two doggies...they have such cute things!!! Also, I was once looking for something specific (a doggie stroller...which is super embarrassing to use but I have an elderly dog who can't go on family outings without it) and they ordered it for me and set it up, which was great! Also, one thing I love and not a lot of the groomers in the area do is that they take credit cards...major plus! The main reason I would recommend Perfect Paws though is how nice they are...my one dog is a terror, he is great with people but he just barks non stop with other dogs around and they are so nice about it, which I really appreciate. I love taking my two pooches there and would definitely suggest to try them out!
