I used to live in this beautiful West Village neighborhood and this was my favorite loocal wine shop. Friendly service, nice selection, good prices. Too bad my new neighborhood doesn't have a shop like this!

I know very little about wine so I depend on the knowledge of the guys at Sea Grape. They've never played me or made me look stupid at a dinner party. And I've been introduced to some INCREDIBLE wines! Best wine store in the west village for sure. And my favorite wine store ever.
Pros: well-informed, charming staff

Seagrape is the best wine shop in the Village, if not the city. I'm pretty fussy (though ill-informed) about my wine. Because of thier dedication to getting in excellent new wines at affordable prices (they travel around to find the best wines every year) I'm often stumped when I find my favorite wine of a few months gone. They allways suggest a new one they have in and It's allways perfect. Which of course continues to broaden my understanding of what I like. It's great here. Everyone in the village knows it.
Pros: Nutty staff.
Cons: none.
