Cashier used the F word on me
by Beru
if you need to go to an Ikea, go to NJ or LI.
was there yesterday, the cashier (her name is Michelle, i believe it was cashier counter #8 or 10) was extremely rude. Asked me to take stuff out of my bags like i should be doing her job. when i spread out all the items right next to her (i would say about 12" away from the chair she was sitting on) she kept staring at the good and refused to count all 7 of them while repeatly asking me "how many?" and "hand them over to me". when i told her i was not going to do her job she gave me the F word and said i aint doing this shxt no more and get ur shxt out of here. and when i asked for a store manager and her name she said i dont need to know her name and if i want to know, i can ask someone else.
- Pros: they have Ikeas in LI and NJ
- Cons: hiring people that do not want to do their job

No staff on floor. When you find one they have no knowledge. And they don't care. Then if you have problems with the goods at home the Customer Service peoplea are on power trips-real drama regals they are.
- Pros: easy to find
- Cons: stakked by kids with no information

STAY FAR AWAY

The one star review here is overstating the quality of the service by at least 3 stars!!!
Take the ferry, look at the waterfalls, eat the meatballs, BUT DO NOT BUY THE FURNITURE!!!!! I bought bedroom and living room furniture for my son, and for my several thousand dollars, was held captive in his apartment for 3 days as the delivery/assembly people delivered only half an order, failed to show up for the appointment to deliver the rest, then took more than 8 hours to do a sub-standard job of putting together 5 pieces. And, now I have a piece with a big gouge in it, and have been back in telephone hell (on hold for a half hour, promises of being called back, never hearing from anyone...) for another 3 days. NEVER AGAIN!!
Low prices and sleek, modern design draw shoppers to this interior decorating superstore.
