Like a Sweet Nook in A cranny!!

by kareemahb

So i went there for the first time ever. i think it only opened 6 months ago. A friend of mines was DJing, and so a reason to go. I like it a lot. It has 2 separate areas with 2 separate vibes, one is more sports bar the other more cooled back with room for dancing, and a game area. I can't wait til it gets warm cause the picnic tables in front is a nice touch. Great selection of beers, and interesting specials. a little something for everyone.

  • Pros: lighting, choice of libations, decor
  • Cons: seating layout kinda off.

A former automotive garage transforms into a breezy beer garden stocked with a dozen microbrews and a cask ale or two.

by Joshua M Bernstein

In Short
A dingy garage is hammered into a 1,300-square-foot outdoor haven strewn with picnic tables, and voila: Leafy beer-garden splendor arrives in unlikely Crown Heights. Relax alfresco at a picnic table, as a waitress delivers one of 12 drafts beers (including crisp Coney Island lager and fruity, amber Schneider Weisse). If it gets chilly, saunter indoors to the oak bar adorned with subway tiles, where you'll belly-up beside an artsy, staunchly local crowd to chit-chat while DJs spin indie, world and hip-hop beats.

Hits: At this off-the-beaten-path outpost, it's easy to kick back beside attitude-free bar-goers and quaff tasty microbrews that are as affordable as they are delicious.

Misses: Though Franklin Park possesses oodles of outdoor goodness, the picnic tables and benches fill quickly on sunny afternoons and warm nights, turning this otherwise tranquil spot into a mob scene.
