Great lounge for the locals

Great bar/lounge for this part of Brooklyn. It can get too crowded and to find a seat for more than one person is impossible. However, if it's earlier than 11pm and it's just you and a friend you must go and try the cocktails. They're a little pricey for Brookly, if I wanted to pay $14 for a cocktail I'd go to the Gaansevort. Overall a must see for the locals.

• Pros: Amazing Decor, Unique Vibe you won't find anywhere else in Ft. Greene
• Cons: Pricey Cocktails, Crowded

Mortgage A Drink In a Cool Bk Spot

Oooh I love bars where drinks are served by people who claim to miss the chill, cheaper times of Bk, while serving up $18 cocktails. Felt duped...so subprime of them. The drinks were fantastic, undoubtedly, but so is a dinner down the street at any one of the amazing Ft Greene food joints. Yes, the neighborhood has been changing for years, good and bad, I've got my beef with the gentrification too, but drinks just don't need to cost that much. Music was good, and decor was cool and hopefully the joint will open its doors in warmer climes. In all, decent spot that needs a thoughtful neighborhood makeover.

Worth A Drink!

I ventured out one night on my own and was greeted by Kasim, one of the owners. He was kind and friendly. I didnt feel out of place. Next to me was a dude reading a novel and drinking a glass of wine and this was at 1030pm on a Thurs. The mood is sensual, very throwback, mostly young crowd with folks laughing and carrying on conversations, nothing rowdy. Bartenders are nice! They'll chat you up too. Tasty cheese crackers. I only wish it was BIGGER.

Despite its "shh, don't tell" moniker, the word is out on this delightful Brooklyn cocktail den.

Discretely nestled in a former Fort Greene garage, this cozy, wood and brick cocktail den is owned by a local, and it shows. Though the drinks are priced with deep pockets in mind, there's no room for snobs. Instead, a neighborly crowd fills the scant 25 stools that line both the bar and the opposing wall. Friendly bartenders extol the merits of floral gin, fresh fruit, ginger, and the house-made bitters and syrups as they shake and stir their concoctions with aplomb.

Hits: Top sellers such as the Blackberry Caipirinha, Snow Mosquito and Whiskey Fig Fizz dazzle, but drinkers needn't be shy. Bartenders happily create drinks to suit individual palates.

Misses: Beer drinkers beware--the only brews on the menu are the blond and double-ale from Grimbergen, priced at $9, but even non-cocktail drinkers will be won over by the expertly mixed drinks.
