Vegan Food: Wow!
by kenobebe1
Now I really don't even like vegan food and avoided this place for a few months out of sheer principle but finally gave in as I had exhausted every food option on Graham Avenue. Man, this place is good! Hearty, home-made renditions of Caribbean staples like Jherk (can't use the word it sounds like in citysearch reviews apparently) Tofu, Curried "Goat" and smoked collard greens are a few of my choice dishes. All of the dishes are fresh and contain a multitude of flavors and spices. The best part is is that it's really not that expensive! Mighty Diamond is a little gem that is a must if you're looking for something different on the pizza-heavy block between metropolitain and conselyea on Graham avenue.
amazing spices, flavours, service, variety, low prices, what more to say?!

I loved eating here- I was lucky enough to be with a group into sharing, so I had a chance to taste many magnificent morsels. Each and every dish was deeeelicious!! The textures and flavors are just divine. Consume mass quantities!
- Pros: all
- Cons: none
FAST, cheap, excellent food in Brooklyn
by nycdino
Most of the vegan places in New York are so busy focusing on fake meats that they ignore the most obvious vegan foods out there: vegetables, grains, and beans. Part of Mighty Diamond's regular menu are vegetables like roasted root vegetables with herbs, and collard greens. They also have a black bean chili on their regular menu.
The best deal is to get the 5 items platter. In it, you get to choose any five menu items that they have for $11. You get a choice of: Jerked Tofu (which has honey), Curry "goat", esco-"fish", curry chick peas, bean chili, rice and peas, quinoa greens, roasted or steamed veggies (depends on what's in season), or their yummy mac and "cheese." They also have hot or iced tea, soda, and water.
Definitely try the dessert though. I had a rum cake that was really good, and I'm craving more.
- Pros: Very cheap, extremely fast
Awesome Vegetarian in Williamsburg!
by jackie6
Finally an option besides pizza or thai food. This place is better than most vegetarian too, it's actually got flavor. I loved the "goat" curry, and the patties rule. They have beer now too.
- Pros: Convenient, good value
Friendly counter-service cafe offers a meatless taste of the Caribbean islands to Brooklynites.

In Short
Nestled into a relatively quiet section of Williamsburg, this brightly painted spot draws a neighborhood mixture of budget-conscious youngsters and health-conscious elders. Combo plates ranging from $7 to $11 are a good way to try several different items off the ever-changing menu of Rastafarian-approved dishes like jerk tofu, spicy chickpeas, and curried seitan "goat." Dairy-free desserts such as banana cake and ginger cookies round out the meal with a sampling of the Caribbean's sweeter side.
