A great place.. But...

It's a great place even though business is slow the store is still up and running, but a few days ago they started making changes. For one the music is really dead the worker use to to be so up beat and full of life always with a clever joke to make the customers smile but now they all just seem dead just yesterday I was in their and boy the music BITE

Worst service on Smith Street

I went in for a late lunch - 2pm on a weekday - and even though there were no other customers in the store, they staff didn't want to help me. The register girl was talking loudly to a coworker eating at the benches and a guy was up there flirting with them. When I asked for help they waived me to the staff in the back. The guy in the back of the store was restocking and waved me back at them. Several more requests failed to draw anyone to make a sandwich, so I left as the staff was obviously more interested in socializing than working.

If you want a sandwich served in a reasonably efficient manner without a lot of hassle don't bother going here. There are plenty of other business a few steps away that are interested in getting peoples business.

Good salads, friendly staff

I go here often for the made-to-order salads. They're usually great and large enough for a meal. The soups are also usually very good. The prepared foods have been mediocre though. And they ALWAYS have the exact same choices of prepared food, never any new options to choose from. Pricey. The staff has always been very nice, friendly, and accomidating.

Great All American Take Home Food!

I stumbled across this eatery last year when coming home from playing tennis. This fine food place used to be a bodega. I ordered the fried chicken, meatloaf and salmon. As main entrees, these were great, tasty choices. I added some brussels sprouts and grilled broccoli with cauliflower as side dishes. The food taste great, fresh, natural. Even after a couple of days in the fridge and after being heated in the microwave. Now I don't cook. I order enough for the week and have put away my pots and pans. For $40 to $50 I have enough food for the week. Chop Chop's food taste better than Whole Foods'. Taste better than Balducci's. Better than the Garden of Eden's. As for the service, the people behind the counter have always been friendly and I've met the owner, and she has been more than courteous too. If I'm coming all the way from Manhattan to buy their food, believe me it's consistently good!

Design your own salads are very small and stingy for the money. Pre-made foods are ok, but generally overpriced.

Lousy Service...Morose Workers....Nazi Boss

if i was gonna rate ths place last year..5 stars,no problem. I liked the new feel of the place as of late with delivery and more urgent customer service but now the chinese guy and his wife are on the floor with no smiles and the crew looks stressed. The chef was fired and you can tell by the food.this place cannot figure out what it wants to be.Ill keep shopping at Canberries in BK Hts.This place is DEAD in my books

Best Food in Boerum Hill with Free Delivery

I have been going here since opening last october and the foods always fresh,the prepared food inviting and the staff friendly.however, much to my chagrin,they abolished fresh smoothies which I loved but added delivery which I love more!! The salads,sandwiches and cooked foods delivered to my job is more than worth it.

Great place to pick up last minute party food

This store is a little too slick from the outside, but the food is always fresh and yummy.

It's a great place to pick up last minute party food. I'm a bit of a lazy cook, so I plan the main dish, and order the prepared sides and appetizers from Chop Chop. My favorite is the Cous Cous with the macadamian nuts. The mashed sweet potatoes' pretty good too.

my experience at chop chop is always the same..friendly personnel and top notch prepared foods and panini's..prices are also reasonable for downtown brooklyn..as a chef,I find the foodsimpl flavored without any pretention,but upscale enuff to make a difference..Just started thier smoothiesfor the summer and they are awesome! My Favorite Nieghborhood Place for eats:-)
