Great salon,great stylist for curly hair--Rudy!

Rudy is amazing. He took his time,found out what i was looking for and he really knowshow to cut curly hair so that it doesn't look like a bowl or a triangle ....i have been in NY 8 years without finding a good stylist and now i can stop looking! i would recommend him to anyone and everyone!

finally..found a great sylist

After reading so many reviews I figured I owe it to all the readers to add another. The woman I've used for about 2 years now to cut my hair is out until September. I was gong to use someone else at the salon but was hesitant. My husband just got his hair cut by Rudy and did a fine job and he said he was nice..so why not try Rudy! And, am so glad I did. He told me straight up that he will not cut my hair the same way as the woman I was seeing...not that there was anything wrong with it but it's not how he cuts. He then explained what he would do and said if I were uncomfortable with his suggestions I should either wait until my woman was back or use someone else in Fez that has a similar way of cutting. I trusted Rudy because I like the way he talked and seemed like he really knew his stuff. I am very happy with my hair..he did an excellent job and now I will be using Rudy and not my old place...his cut was just a cut (no pun intended!) above the other place!

More than pleased with Roxy.

I am one of those people who've gone to several of the best NY salons in hopes that I will finally get a good haircut, or at least what I have in mind. I usually walk away $200+ poorer and unhappy.

Fez Salon was convenient for me and I read the reviews, so I decided to give it a shot. My hairstyle isn't that difficult but was in a much needed revamp. And, I'll admit that I am picky.

I made an appointment with Roxy. She is a quiet woman, which was also refreshing, but listened and understood all the little key things I wanted done to my hair and blended them together perfectly. I was very happy, felt great, and she now has a new client.

great place for a quick cut

I called mid-week and got an appt. for this weekend with no problem. I had read the reviews and since I have curly hair, I'm pretty picky about salons. I had Rudy cut my hair and when I got there, he sat with me and listened to what I wanted, gave some suggestions, and then proceeds to give me one of the most thorough and meticulous haircuts I've ever gotten. He listened to what I said and did a fabulous job. He doesn't chat your ear off while doing your hair and is very focused, which I really like. You can tell he loves his job. I am definitely going back. They do take credit cards, but your tip has to be in cash. Very reasonable price too, my cut was only $50.

Reina is a farse!!!!!

I will never go back to this salon. Let me start by saying, she reeked of cigg smoke. According to our consult, I thought we were on the same page. Now that my hair is so short in the back, I look like a boy. Let me not forget to metion, that her comb dropped, and she just picked it up from the dirty floor. I was livid. To top it off, she had the nerve to charge me $60. Shame on you.

Exceptional Work, Amazing Talent

I'm so excited to have found my new colorist. I love my highlights. Anthony is the best colorist I ever met. I've been to a lot of salons all over the city. It was such a pleasure to meet him. He's a really nice guy. He seems to be very sincere and sweet. My girlfriend loves my highlights.This is the first time she ever commented on my hair. I would go check him out. Its so worth it. You will be happy you did.

Great haircut and color!

I had been looking for a stylist in Brooklyn for a while and a friend recommended Rudy at Fez. He was away so I booked an appointment with Roxy. Roxy gave me a great cut and highlights. I brought a picture to show her, and she honestly told me that the style in the picture was too short for me. She adapted that style for my features and really warmed up the color with nice highlights. Everyone at the salon was really nice - it's a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Totally recommend!

Too Good To Be True!!!!

I've never walked out of a salon so happy in my life. My color is gorgeous and the best it's ever looked. Even my boyfriend noticed and that says a lot! Anthony explained his highlighting/ lowlighting technique, as he was consulting. I couldn't wait to get started since my hair color was a disaster. An hour later I was ready to be blown out( amazing time). I could tell it turned out well even when my hair was damp. When my hair was dry, I couldn't believe how natural and healthy it looked. At the age of 31, my color has never looked better. Anthony is truly a gem!

• Cons: Tips can't be placed on credit cards...so bring cash

Great salon in Park Slope

I walked in at 11am on a Sunday morning without an appointment and was very pleasantly greeted. They made room for me right away. Ann Marie gave me a great massage during the shampoo. Roxy did a great job with my hair and really took her time. I felt great walking out and will definitely go back.

I love Mario!

This is a very nice, low-key place with low-key prices to match (at least for haircuts--can't speak to coloring or other services). Rudy is very competent and nice, although I liked Mario even more. I had literally the best haircut in ten years here in summer '08, but now I discover that Mario is gone--and as usual with salons, there's no forwarding information! Does anyone know where he went??? Help!
