I AM 7 YEARS OLD

by daochow at Citysearch

I LIKE TO EAT THESE BURGERS BUT MY DAD TOLD ME THAT I SHOULD NOT EAT HERE ANYMORE. HE EXPLAINED TO ME THAT SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO SACRIFICE WHAT YOU LIKE TO MAKE A POINT. I ASKED "CAN WE NOT TIP THEM?" BUT I LEARNED THATS NOT ENOUGH. YOU SHOULD BE NICER AND MAYBE YOU WON'T HAVE TO LOSE ANYMORE CUSTOMERS.

  • Pros: GOOD CHEESE BURGER

BAD MANAGMENT RESULTS IN LOSS OF BUSINESS

by PFC at Citysearch

Matt the unprofessional manager. On 5/1/09 we had a VERY negative experience with manager "matt" who I will refer to as the nasty Manager. The experience was so terrible that after ordering, we had to leave. Specifically, after there being a mix up with the order, he came over in a very accusatory tone, failed to resolve the issue and only aggravated the situation. He insulted my husband and I in front of our family and friends. Mat is simply in the WRONG line of work. He is so NOT a people person. In fact, he cannot handle error on behalf of his employees and expects more of his customers than he expects of himself. he is NOT courteous, NOT professional, and NOT respectful--qualities necessary to the management of a restaurant, especially a complicated burger joint.

  • Pros: good food
  • Cons: poor service

Remember: It's not an Internet cafe

by twester at Citysearch

I like the food here even if it was a little outrageously priced. The burger was well-cooked and the onion rings were some of the best I've ever had.

I sat for a while after finishing my lunch doing some work on my laptop. The manager eventually came over and asked if he could get me anything. The implication was that he didn't want me hanging out in his half-full-at-lunch-hour establishment.

Then he noticed I had plugged into the electrical outlet. "Did you ask anyone if you could do that?" Me, " I didn't know I needed to - after all I just spend $17 on fast food". He, "This isn't an internet cafe." I smell greed. I won't be back.

Every place is an internet cafe since I'm staring at the manager/owner even as I type this - without his electricity or anyone's network connection but my own. Join the 21st century or get left behind.

  • Pros: They had really good onion rings
  • Cons: The manager's personality

Could be Brooklyn's Best Burger

by funny_fringe at Citysearch

I've been going to 67 Burger for sometime and I've never had a bad experience or burger there. I've gone when the restaurant was empty except for me, and I've gone on the weekends when it's crazy crowded. It's pretty simple: you order at the counter, pick a table, and they bring your food over. You can also order to go. When it's busy the food will take a while, but I've never waited an absurd amount of time. You get what you pay for at 67- not some wimpy sad patty and a small bun. My burgers have always been juicy and huge, and I've tried some of the toppings to spicy things up a bit. I recommend this place if you want a burger and want it done right.

  • Pros: Lots of topping choices, serves veggie & turkey burgers, great fries
  • Cons: Sometimes you wait

Terrible Service, burgers aren't good lately

by crazylegs08 at Citysearch

I've been to 67 Burger several times as it is in my neighborhood, and recently, it has been HORRIBLE. My boyfriend and I went for our usual burgers and he ordered his rare and I ordered mine medium, WELL apparently it was National Beef Health Week as they did us the generous favor of overcooking our burgers. My boyfriends was more medium (a little pink and only in the middle) and mine was basically well. When we got the gusto to complain, the guy (in a NY baseball cap-his staple), rudely took it away, cut in in half and brought it back saying "we have to cook it a little bit'' in a very sarcastic tone. What an idiot/jerk. Cooking it until its crumbly doesnt mean rare, no matter how inexperienced you may be. Terrible service. Everyone's "too cool for school".

burgers, burgers, burgers

by Khris222 at Citysearch

To my great expectation, 67 burger has opened within blocks of my work place! Forget whatever I have ever said about any other burger place, this place is great. There are different sizes of burgers (mini, medium, large...they have fancy names but I forget what they are), plus turkey burgers and veggie and whole wheat buns (which I agree with another reviewer are kind of wimpy). Mediterranean salad was large, fresh and chock full of beautiful cucumbers and tomato. The fries are chip-like (in that they are sliced potato) and fried to a nice crisp-soft texture. This place features a lot of sauces and toppings but since I am a simple-burger lover, I haven't tried them. The lemonade is pretty weak. The milkshakes are thick and cheap. Definitely worth a trip to a rapidly changing and probably soon to be trendily renamed portion of the neighborhood. My roommate and I are pushing for 24/7.

  • Pros: great burgers and fries
  • Cons: none

Popular, over-priced frozen patty. Dont waste your time and money

by TerrencePhillip at Citysearch

I walk by this place every day, and its always packed. People seem to enjoy it a lot, so I was very excited when I decided to finally give it a try. Service, options, atmosphere are all great. Curly fries were hot and delicious. A wide variety of toppings makes it possible to customize your burger. BUT.... the burger itself is pretty lousy. They make a big show out of frying it in front of you, and it takes so long to get it, you would think they were making it from scratch. But in reality, its a 50-cent frozen molded patty -- the same one you would get in a hospital cafeteria or from Costco. With so many great burger places in this town -- and since even some "fast food" joints (Five Guys) use fresh ground beef -- don't waste your time and money here.

  • Pros: patio, vibe, beer on tap, fries, toppings
  • Cons: Food quality, freshness, flavor

LOTSA BURGER, LITTLE TASTE!!!

by ClintonHillChill at Citysearch

Anytime you go to a burger joint and they ask, "Do you need any help understanding the menu?" RUN FOR YOUR LIVES! I mean, what's there to explain about a burger, cheese or no cheese and fries? A lot if you design a menu that looks like a diagram from biology class explaining meiosis and mitosis. After deciphering how to read the manual-i mean menu, I ordered a sizeable cheeseburger that was about as flavorful as a public school lunch. I asked for salt and pepper and was told i didn't need any because there was already sea salt on my fries. Well, since I'm eating and paying for it, I like to decide how my food tastes. I ate half of it, and left the rest for the pigeons; their palates aren't as discriminating.

There's a fine line between good service and harassment. If I say I don' t need anything, it doesn't mean ask me if I'm sure, or come back two minutes later to re-read other menu items hoping that I might change my mind!

I should've known better. It's been my experience that the best burger joints are always low profile. The fancier the place, the poorer the taste.

  • Pros: Convenient/local
  • Cons: Sub par food and service

Dry grilled chicken, with no flavor!

by vikkibrooklyn at Citysearch

I don't know where the previous people ate but I had a very bad experience. The bun was over toasted. The grilled chicken was very dry, even with pesto sauce & sauteed onions.Where's the cheese? I was supposed to have shaved parmesan cheese on my chicken- I had a difficult time finding it.

Fun place for Great/Creative Burgers

by lexislee2002 at Citysearch

This is a fun burger place with a laid-back atmosphere, creative menu choices, and a firm grip on making a delicious burger.

I've tried The Ranch with Chicken, The Parisian with Beef, a classic burger, as well as a grilled chicken salad. I've been perfectly satisfied with all!

The fries are big enough to share, so if there's only two of you, don't waste your dollars on each getting an order. I prefer the regular french fries, but my boyfriend loves the sweet potato. I recommend at least giving them a try.

Having an outdoor seating option is lovely in the spring/summer, especially considering how lovely a street Lafayette can be during the warm season.

Service is spotty occasionally. I've had to wait in long lines to order while the employees seemed busy staring off into space. But quality never lacks.

Highly recommended!

  • Pros: Food, Ambience, Creative options
  • Cons: Service sometimes
