My grandmother had passed down a beautiful rug she has had since she was married. It was in storage for over 2 years and after opening it up, I thought it was not repairable.

My coworker suggested to give 1800-NYCarpet a call, they had done a rug cleaning for him in the past. When the technician came I was so surprised to find out that the fringes can be prepared and the color restored.

They told me delivery would take 3 days however it was pushed to 4. I didnt mind after I saw the rug, it was beautiful. I highly recommend anyone with rugs to give them a call.

I called 1800NYCarpet last week to schedule carpet cleaning for my entire home and 2 sofas for today and they just left.....I am so pleased I had to leave a review.

Great Service! My carpet looks almost brand new and the technicians were very skillful around certain problem areas in the high traffic areas of our home. The sofas have seen much better days before they came, 2 kids and a dog will do that....but after the cleaning and scotch guard, wow...no need to buy new couches.

I will definitely recommend them to anyone.

Window treatment by 1800 NY Carpets

We had no idea that 1800 NY Carpets does window treatments. But they do, and we were really happy to have trusted them with our project. It delayed slightly, but it was done properly, which is more important. We had some minor issues with the curtain railing a few months after, but they came and fix the issue a few days after. Great service. I would recommend them to my friends.

NJ steamers a.k.a. 1800 NY carpet (06/2009)

After getting their service to shampoo our carpet, a residue of splotchy white material dried onto the berber-type carpet a day later. They did come back the next day to clean that residue up, but this time after waiting for the drying period, a discoloration in some areas exists on the carpet. It looks much better than it did after it was originally cleaned but the discoloration remains. They also need better customer service skills, nasty technician and abrasive pushy manager. When told about the problem the technician insisted that we ( the customers) had thrown powder on the carpet to cause this . Not likely I will refer these people to any one I know.

Excellent carpet and drapes cleaning company

OKAY, so normally I wouldn't write a review for these purposes, but after my horrible heart wrenching experience with 3 other carpet & window cleaning companies in the area!!! I've decided to let the public know where I found salvation. 1800-NY-CARPET. They are number #1 on google for a reason!!! All 3 other companies had no idea how to install draperies and left extremely visible stains where I had my carpet cleaned. You could clearly see the line where is was cleaned and I literally thought there was no way to restore it to the original look, let alone get rid of the damage. This company not only fixed all the trouble the other companies caused, they did it for cheaper and the draperies finally sit correctly. PROFESSIONALISM COUNTS!

Never Again!

The morning of the job, they showed up an hour late without calling. Then they told me the job would be $400 over their original estimate. They did an inferior job, in half the time they initially said it would take obviously cutting corners. Finally, my bathroom was covered in waste water from the job which they never bothered to clean. Bad job. I tried to give them no stars, but 1 is the minimum.
