I found Bnytech after googling computer repair stores in New York. I had shopped around before calling them. All the reviews were great (much better than the others) and so I decided to give it a shot. The reviews were spot on! I had a virus that had infected my laptop....its the new Fake XP 2008 Anti-Virus thats been around for the past 2 months. I called them and "Alex" (who works here) gave me the best quote amongst 3 other places I had called. He fixed my laptop and returned it to me on the same day, and even installed an excellent anti-virus for me (inclusive in the cost ) although I did not ask for it. He was very courteous and honest. I highly recommend these guys over the others - many of whom charge you by the hour and dont seem honest and straightforward at all. Don't take your computer / laptop anywhere else - Highly Recommended!!
Pros: Very honest and relatively economical
Cons: None

I really do like the way you run your business and I think it provides excellent value for those of us who recognize value. Your technical "grasp" is really good and the personal touch you provide is very good.
Pros: Quick and inexpensive compair to others

Finally a service company that indeed provides "true" customer service. They promptly fixed my laptop as promised. More importantly, they even called me first to find out if I wanted some additional repairs. Best part, they were objective, instead of the norm, pushy. I declined the additional expense because they indicated they had run the laptop for 2 solid days. Talk about the good old days. To my knowledge, nobody does that anymore
Pros: Thumbs up
Cons: None

Please pass along my appreciation to all who helped with the expeditious recovery my data. I had over 4000 pictures of family on those drives. When I plugged the drive in, there were 4 partitions that all looked identical to the ones I lost. This made it very easy to find everything.I really didn't think there was a possibility of the data being recovered, but every photo was recovered. Again, thank you. The data recovered was irreplaceable, and I'm glad there are companies like yours around.
Pros: Good Price, Fast Service.
Cons: NONE

Unfortunately, I didn't find BNY (Alex) until I had already paid another local laptop repair shop to "diagnose" my keyboard problem and tell me I would need to pay hundreds to perform repairs that didn't even need to be done (verified by photos taken of the inside of my laptop). Not only was the other shop planning to replace parts that didn't need to be replaced, but they were going to charge me substantially more for the parts than if I had bought the same quality myself at Best Buy. Alex objectively and accurately diagnosed my problem, provided personal service (including free pick up of my laptop) and performed timely repairs with no hidden charges or extra fees. In fact, he went out of his way to find the least expensive source for replacement parts and always consulted with me prior to proceeding. I found the service reliable, trustworthy and reasonable. Bnytech is where you need to go if you seek neutral, honest and effective computer repair.
Pros: Respectful, clean and efficient.
Cons: None

BNY was a lifesaver. My computer was dead and beyond all hope. I work on a computer all day long and was skeptical that they would be able to help. They exceeded my expectations in every way. These Geeks are really cool guys.
Pros: Fast service + warranty. Thank you very much
Cons: None what so ever.

I manager mid-size mortgage office in Brooklyn. We had a lot of problems with our computer guys. After looking around on the internet, we decided to use Bnytech . 2 guys showed up next day and in 2 days they completely redid entire network. Eliminated cables, setup wireless, office wide printing and fire walled internet. These guys were professionals that knew what they were doing. And very reasonable rates. Highly recommend.
Pros: Favorite computer repair and network install team!!!
Cons: None

"I was in the middle of a project when my computer froze. After restarting, my secondary hard drive was no longer visible. Panic set in because all of my current projects were located on that drive and two of those were ready to go to press on that same day. My greatest fear was the complete loss of all the data and the repercussions of the loss. I contacted Mac Medics and explained the situation. I chose to drop off my CPU at their office and later that afternoon I received a call informing me that they were successful in recovering all my data. They called because they knew how important this recovery meant to me. After doing the dance of joy _ come on, you know the one _ I approved the replacement of the bad drive. In 24 hours had my CPU back with all my data and my clients never knew. Mac Medics did a great job and I recommend their service."
Pros: Best people out there.
Cons: NONE

Found this great place thanks to Citysearch and it saved my creative life! With a script deadline in front of me my computer shut down because the a/c adapter port was broken and the machine could not get juiced up. I spent two days trundling the laptop all over the city: Sony wanted to send it out of state, one CompUSA said it would take 4 weeks to review and fix, the other said 6, BestBuy said 6 to 8 weeks and it would have to be sent to Kentucky. I called these guys at 10pm at night on a whim and the great guy Jorge said "bring it over, I know I can fix it for you by tomorrow." It sounded like a scam. I went over. He was the most trusting and capable fellow and the machine was fixed under 24 hours!!! Incredible. He also fixed my ethernet connection problem and advised me on what to buy to make my machine run faster. All for under $300! I could not believe I had my laptop and internet back within a day. I was prepared to rent a laptop for 8 weeks at $600 while mine was in repair. I cannot praise this place enough and I signed up on Citysearch just to spread the word. Note: they are located at 248 West 35th Street now; the address needs to be updated. THANK YOU JORGE AND ALEX!!
Pros: Superfast, reliable, reasonably charged expert repairs by very nice and trusting staff.
Cons: Nada.
