Big Rodent in Bathroom!!!

Rude Staff

I've been to Tazza many times and every single time the service is dismal. I keep giving them another chance because the brie and apricot sandwich and steel-cut oatmeal are just so delicious. That said, the last time I was there they completely forgot about serving us what we had paid for and were completely unapologetic about it. When I finally went to the counter to ask about our food, they said the four tables that all arrived after us (and order the same food as we did) had ordered first. We asked for our money back and unfortunately I will never return.

Up on Clark Street there is a new Tazza location which is well-run and has polite, helpful staff. It is also cleaner. So that combined with the fact the same good food is served in a friendlier atmosphere, I'd definitely recommend heading up to Clark rather than the Henry Street location.

Over priced

For coffee you are better off across the street at Brooklyn Heights deli, nothing is made on site, everything is over priced, their staff is arrogant.

Nice atmosphere, good taste but overpriced and so-so service

The atmosphere is cozy and inviting; they have a good selection of sandwiches, pastries, breads, etc. However, the service is not that (they never bring a spoon with coffee). The prices are ok for some things, but extremely overpriced for others. For example, a grilled ham and cheese sandwich on a croissant is $7.25. Now...we all know that a croissant is never big, so you will not be satisfied. And...if you get this same sandwich but not grilled, it's about a buck less. So why do they charge more if it's grilled? Ridiculous.

VERY NICE PLACE

Eating outdoors in Brooklyn Heights is a treat . this place has the best salads , i have ever eaten . I really enjoy eating here . we had very friendly service , the food and wine was delicious . I like the atmosphere as well . Definitely a good " date place " as well but not saturday and sunday lunch time to buuuuuussssy . BUT PLACE IS GREAT .

a bakery Tazza serving a lot good food . fantastic coffee , panini and salads . I order medi salad this was beautiful with nice wine from spain .the atmosphere in this place is great but saturday and sunday too busy place for relax . only small panini too small but food very fresh . Very good place foor lunch , fresch food , great coffee and fast service .Very good place for familly . Only sometimes to many kids with stroler .

rude, unhelpful service does not make up for acceptable small sandwitch

Went there to relax during the midst of a bad work day, and cashier didn't understand a word that was said to him, from 'what kind of drinks to do have' to 'can I have a feta sandwich'. He brought a mozzarella instead. When I brought the sandwich back to the counter and requested what I actually ordered, he insisted that I had ordered it because he pressed the button on the machine. I spent ten minutes telling him that it was not what I ordered. I definitely did order it. He never apologized. After this ten minute long conversation, he chased me down to the table after another five minutes because he still did not recognize the sandwich description, even though it was on the menu posted on the wall. I then waited an additional ten minutes for my new sandwich. Still when he delivered that there was no apology or recognition that he had wasted the majority of my lunch hour. However the plopping noise that he made when he smashed the rather small sandwich that I actually ordered indicated I wouldn?t relax there again. Perhaps somewhere that understands the term ?service industry? or even just the word ?feta?. The ridiculous thing is that it would have been fine if he had just apoliogized, but he never did. Or even indicate that he had made the mistake.

Wandered into Tazza and fell in love.

A bakery/enoteca, serving breakfast pastry, panini, cakes, cookies, coffee and wine. An eclectic mix, but I believe it works brilliantly. The espresso I had was fantastic, far better than any I have had recently in the Brooklyn/NY City area. The croissant, sublime, and much to my pleasure I discovered (from their warm, friendly staff) that they are from (one of my fav's) ceci cela. My sister ordered lunch. A beautiful panino of proscuitto, baby arugola and shaved parmesan on a devine ciabatta bread, with a georgeous glass of tempernillo on the side. We then indulged in a yummy coconut cupcake for dessert. The atmosphere was busseling, it was very busy, yet maintaining a warm, welcoming air. Seated at the copper bar we had a lovely time conversing amongst ourselves and some of the other satisfied regulars. Of which I may add we will become.

Not Worth It

This is the 4th restaurant that has moved into this building and like them all, this one is no better. I am sorry to say that the service was somewhat rude and the prices were ridiculous for the amount of food served. While I think the concept is well presented, the overall experience is not worth you money or your time. You are better off making your own sandwich then spending $6.00 for nothing.
