Fun
by HS11 at Citysearch
My husband and I went into camp last Tuesday to reserve tables for our friend's going away party. The owner was super accommodating and she insisted on buying us shots. We were suppose to just have the one proverbial drink and then head to dinner, when we noticed the Wii bowling on the screen. We wound up playing for hours. I scored a 220 in one game, (twice the score I would get in real bowling). We made fun of the Rockabilly music but after a couple of glasses of wine, we wound up really getting into it. The other customers we played against were great. We can't wait for the rematch. We haven't laughed this hard in a long time. I wish our first date was as memorable as this.
Great Birthday

The people at Camp were wonderful. I set up a birthday get together and when I called ahead they not only reserved a space for my party but set up a great drink special. We had about 25 people come and everyone had a great time. The bartenders and staff were terrific.
- Pros: Staff, drinks, service

Disappointed on my birthday
by AD22 at Citysearch
I celebrated my 29th b-day here, particularly because I read the review by someone else on this site who spent theirs here. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed. I brought in over 23 people to her business, yet the owner, besides moving 2 tables together when we first got there, did not do one thing to make the night special for me or the party. Not even a "happy birthday" from her, never mind a complimentary drink. On the contrary, many of my guests came back from the bar saying, "it takes forever to get a drink here." Someone next to us broke a glass and that was the only time the owner came back to our table. At the time, I pointed to the air conditioning above us that had a constant drip on whoever sat under it. She looked at it yet did not address it in anyway. I actually had to bring the empty glasses and smores trays up to the bar myself throughout the night as they were piling up but were not cleared once by staff. The music was at times slow and "depressing" and it was freezing in there on a 29 degree evening when the atmosphere is supposed to be "cozy" with the fireplace and all. Would not recommend it and will probably not go back.

I had my 25th birthday party at Camp last friday and it was perfect! Not only is the staff so friendly and accomodating, the DJ was actually willing to play the CD I brought in! They gave us s'mores, which were delicious and allowed us to get as crazy and rowdy as we wanted, while continuously serving us strong drinks and shots all night! The place never got too crowded, the people were all friendly and down-to-earth and the atmosphere of the place was perfect! Needless to say, everyone had a great time and we will definitely be back! Camp rocks!
- Pros: not crowded, good DJ, great staff
- Cons: none
Grown-up summer camp kids get sentimental at this bungalow of a bar.

In Short
A mounted deer head, log cabin-like walls and a working fireplace add to the woodsy appeal of this summer camp-inspired lounge. The clientele--a late 20s to early 30s set--is long past their sleep-away days, but a basket of nostalgic board games, a weekend DJ, and shareable snacks (like s'mores) encourage patrons to flirt and play. House cocktails include the Dirty Girl Scout with vodka, Bailey's, Kahlua, and creme de menthe.
