SAGE Spa. Sooo accommodating. After much encouragement from my friend, I had finally made an appointment for a well-overdue massage at Sage. I was looking forward to it very much. Unfortunately, life threw it's usual curveball straight at me and I found myself in a position that left me unable to keep my appointment. It was 2 days before my scheduled date and I could already smell the incense and oils in my mind. I called and spoke with the owner, explaining my dilema and disappointment. She was very sympathetic and understanding and within a short time I had a new appointment and restored peace of mind. Thank you Susan for bearing with the crazy life of a stressed-out girl. P.S.( In case you're interested- and i know you are- the massage was fantastic! I'll be back.)

Wonderful experience. I just had a wonderful experience at Sage Spa. The massage was very good, totally met my needs. The environment is exquisite, very relaxing and beautiful. Everyone was extremely professional. I was called a day ahead and reminded of my appointment and the cancellation policy so there were no mishaps. I can't wait to go back and would highly recommend it to my friends.

Terrible Customer Service. Great masseuse, bad business lady. I called to cancel an appt. 23.5 before and she called ME rude. I was trying to explain to her that I would call once I heard from my husband, who was performing surgery all day. She called me rude and hung up on me. When I called back to try and talk to her, she was extremely rude, told me that she cancelled 6 appts. b/c of me. After trying to reason with her, she told me to f#ck off and hung up on me. I've never been there before, so as a new client, this is how she treated me. She acts as if she is the only business owner in the world. Ironic that she is so great at performing these tension reducing forms of massage when she made me feel more stressed than I already was. Lighten up lady and take a management course or perhaps an anger management course. Even better...get one of your masseuses to work on you.

Miracle Worker!. I have had quite a bit of massage over the years, some of it good and some of it painfuly bad. My recent massage at Sage was fantastic. Take it from me, Gabriella, my therapist, is as good as it gets. In this case, she really helped alleviate some pain that I had been experiencing from a recently pulled chest muscle. She worked the injury, combining slow stretches and deep massage. One hour later, I was a new man. I heartily recommend this place. If you need some relief, consider a session with Gab at Sage. She's a miracle worker.

Too basic and light. I had a massage here last week - as I was having much back pain. While the place is very pleasant and really nice and the therapist very nice, I expressed I wanted fairly deep on the back and legs. The massage was basically 75 minutes of being lightly rubbed with oil. It was my fault for not speaking up again while on the table, however, I could tell that there was not much technique going on - no working out the kinks or the very obvious tight muscles in my back and shoulders.

While I was "relaxed" I felt I had again paid for someone to rub (too much) oil all over me.

I was disappointed - and am still in need of a massage now. :(

Maybe Susan would have been better I don't know.

Absolutely heavenly. I've been to Sage many times, and each time I have literally floated out of there. Just walking into Sage, with its calming atmosphere, gorgeous decor and wonderful, friendly staff makes me breath a bit easier, my shoulders relax. I find no pressure there at all, just pure comfort and nurturing. Recently, in June, I had an incredible facial there that saturated my senses with the scent of roses that lingered for hours and hours. As always, I left feeling outrageously spoiled, as if I had been given extra special attention, an amazing birthday present. Seriously, I have never had a bad experience at this spa, and in all honesty consider it to be the best in Brooklyn.

Terrible Customer Service. I had had a couple good experiences at Sage, but one unfortunate incident will keep me from ever going back or recommending it to friends. I'm 8 1/2 months pregnant and was going to use a gift certificate for a prenatal massage but due to my baby brain, I completely forgot the appt until 45 minutes into the scheduled time. I immediately called and was very apologetic, telling the owner that I honestly forgot. She was so harsh and unreasonable about making any alternate arrangements and charged the gift cert. for the service. I told her nicely that I'd never done this before (100% true) but she said she didn't need customers who missed appointments. I have a business in Park Slope and would never speak to an unhappy customer that way, especially an almost 9 months pregnant one!

Best Reflexology Ever!!. I recently went to Sage, for a Reflexology treatment, with Eileen (therapist). I have received Reflexology before, but this has been by far the best session I have ever had! I was "in and out" of consciousness, deep sleep, then awake, then dreaming...WOW, what a journey. I left feeling more relaxed than I have ever been, and the effects lasted a few days!! She helped me focus within and forget about the outside world. I would definitely go back, and highly recommend this place to anyone. I am sure the massages are equally as good. This spa is beautiful inside, and very quiet, no hustle and bustle, and they dont rush you here, like most spa's. Very Zen-like.

best spa experience. This is a WONDERFUL spa! The owner Susan Stratton and her staff makes you feel totally at ease as soon as you step in the door. The masseur Jessie has magical hands!! Jessie is caring and she truly listens to what is bothering you and your needs! After our sessions i float out of the room. I honestly feel at peace when Jessie is done with me. She is a true asset to the company. If you are in Brooklyn and you need a massage, I kid you not, go to Sage spa and ask for Jessie. You won't regret it.

Sage Is Wonderful. I recently was treated to a luxurious massage treatment at Sage on 5th Avenue in Brooklyn. What a great experience! I loved the room and the mood of the space and my therapist, Karen, was a such a welcome bonus. Karen was attentive, caring, and had a fantastic touch. I couldn't recommend her or Sage more highly. Thank you to Sage!
