Great service, great staff. But I'm only giving it 3 stars as I was not very impressed with the food itself. It seems in the pursuit of bringing to the table creativity and uniqueness, LUZ went overboard in the "combinations" of ingredients on some dishes. I would not go back, especially at that price, I should want to tell my friends all about it and the reality is it wasn't that exciting.

Drinks amazing! Calamari amazing! Great prices! Great service! I go here after I get off work to unwind with my co-workers and it never disappoints...thank you guys for being so accomodating!

It was advertised as CHILEAN FOOD, and it is not true!!!!

It is good in peruvian food but not from CHILE, there is a BIG DIFFERENCE!!!

Horrible waiter!

This restaurant has good food but the waiter was rude. He didn't know how to talk to my date and I. He was very abrasive and even flirted with my date. Each time he came to our table he never once made eye contact with me. When it was time to go he looked at us with a blank stare and didn't even say 'thanks', 'bye' or 'come again.' What a bad experience.

Great food and great service

Great food, rotisserie chicken as good as 5th Avenue's Coco Roco, but the rest

of the menu is more experimental and just as good, ribs whose meat falls off the bone,

great salads, and nothing here is super expensive, for $20 to $25 a person, have a great

meal and be hip in a dark trendy restaurant, locals at the bar, and they even make a

great non-alcoholic coctail with passion fruit juice and mint leaves..........

Great service, even better food!

We went to LUZ for my Bday. As usual, we sat at the bar and after a year without going there we realized that the change a little bit the menu... we tried a couple of the new ceviches, and they were just glorious!! Then we had the lamb and the sea bass, and they were amazing!!! The dessert was even better, and the drinks... The Margaritas and frozen mojitos are the best....It was an amazing experience!

So-so brunch

After reading the great reviews of this restaurant, we were excited to have a new restaurant in the neighborhood. However, we were very disappointed with our first visit for Sunday brunch. The food we ordered was ordinary - even bland. You'd be better off at a diner. We will give it another chance for dinner which hopefully will live up to our expectations. Until then, we will not return for brunch.

Great Experience

The decor/ambience is great and cute. The Sangria was tasty and the food was delicious. The appetizer (lightly fried oyster layered with mashed platain and spinach) was exceptional and the dinner (roast pork, shredded, with rice and maduros) was flavorful (thank god I have left overs). The prices are extremely reasonable and my waitress was very attentive. I would definitely recommend Luz to everyone!
