Donald at Oasis at the Affinity Dumont gave me a fantastic massage. They fit me in around my schedule and it was just an overall wonderful experience. By far - my favorite spa in NYC - Thanks! :)

My husband and I stayed at the Affinia Hotel a few weeks back. Not knowing there was a spa at the hotel, I made a last minute appointment, Luckily, there was one opening so I took it. It was one one of the best massages I've ever had. The masseuse was very professional and I felt like a new person upon completion. The staff was also very nice and accomodating.

Pros: Massage, Staff

On Friday morning I booked a prenatal massage for my girlfriend for Saturday afternoon. The scheduler called me at 2PM on Friday to re-confirm my appointment. I received a call from a gentleman at 6:30Pm on Friday telling me that the scheduler made a mistake and double-booked the appointment. He did offer to take my girlfriend at 11:30 Saturday morning, but the reason I booked the appointment for 2PM was because that was the only time I could do this. They were very cavalier about this and that is not good business. BUYER BEWARE.

The owners of Oasis at the Dumont and at Park Avenue know the business first hand. The owners are directly involved in hiring everyone, ensuring quality service. I got a series of massages from Dennis who was especially sensitive to my back issues. The facialist, Sushi, does ballet with her hands. It was the most lyrical, pain free facial ever...and no red marks. It is clean, peaceful, friendly and very professional.

Pros: Great Service, Good pricing, relaxing and friendly

Cons: The space it occupies is small, no bridesmaids parties, probably

I booked an appointment at the Oasis Spa at the Affinia Dumont. At the time of booking I was not told about the cancellation policy. The only thing the reservationist mentioned is the tip policy-in cash of course. I called the next morning, and asked if I could reschedule for the next day, as a personal emergency arose. I was told by the manager, that in addition to the their cancellation policy, which was not told to me, that they would try to fill up the time with another client I had three services booked, what they did was remove the cheapest service and then proceeded to tell me that I would have to pay for the other two. The manager on duty promised to speak to the general manager and failed to do so. The only saving grace in this whole ordeal was my esthetician was phenomenal. I've been to Oasis 5 years ago, but at the Park Avenue location.Unfortunately, because of the failure to disclose their policies, I would not come back to either location. Also, my workplace listed them Oasis as part of our workplace perks. Its unfortunate that I will have to describe my unpleasant experience.

Pros: Good aesthetician

Cons: Horrible customer service, amongst management.

I was very impressed with this Spa!! From the moment we booked until the moment we left the place, we were treated with the utmost care and pampering. My husband and I both had facials and both agreed we had never been treated so well before. We both came out looking a feeling younger. Highly recommended.

Pros: Facials

Cons: Can't think of any

My husband and I were staying at the Affinia Dumont Hotel and figured we'd take advantage of Oasis Day Spa on the premises. I've heard a lot of great things about Oasis and now I know why. My husband and I each went in for just a massage. We were treated very graciously by all the employees. The facilities were very nice, and, oh yeah, the massages were GREAT! Oasis was definitely one of the highlights of our NYC visit.

Pros: Staff, Massage, Facilities

....well, not really but it was exactly what I needed. I received one of the most relaxing massages I've ever had. The masseuse was very professional and got all the right spots. Since I only treat myself once or twice a year, I'm glad I chose Oasis at Affinia. Oh yeah, the staff was very courteous as well

Pros: professionalism, courteous

I refer spas to friends and clients all of the time. I'm very particular about where I go and what services I get. My experience at Oasis was HORRIBLE! I received a gift certificate for a side by side massage for my birthday. When I called to set up the appointment the receptionist had no clue. She was very confused and I should have known that something wasn't right. She booked my appointment and even verified all of my information with me before we got off the phone. So I'm all set right.?.. WRONG! I call to confirm the day of only to be told that the booker made a mistake and booked me for the following week same day and time. After much shuffling they were able to book side by side as the LAST appointment on a Sunday. The massage was horrible, rushed, inconsistent, and honestly overall BAD. Out of a 10 as being the best Oasis gets a negative 4. Dont waste your time or money. Try anywhere else but here

I was Oasis in March for Spa week and was pleasantly surprised by the massage I received. My therapist was Karen Devine - she KNOWS what she is doing! My session was only 45 minutes but she did not make me feel rushed, nor did she make me feel like it was less than an hour. I have had over 300 body treatments and I am also a certified massage therapist. It is rare for me to find an therapsit who can give a great massage - especially during spa week. Lockers were kind of a pain to use for a first time client and there is no nice seating (aside form uncomfortable stools) in the locker room to chill out before or after your treatments, but it was clean and had an attendant who checked regularly on the locker room. Will go back. If Karen is any indication as to the rest of the therapists, Oasis cannot be missed!

Pros: Clean, luxurious and hidden away. Outstanding massage by Karen Devine. Demalogica products are sold but I was not pressure by staff to purchase anything after treatments.

Cons: Small locker room and waiting area. (however - VERY CLEAN)
