truly best pizza in NYC
by moby72
I'm not much of a review writer but this place really deserves a nod. We have eaten here about twice a month over the last year or so. I like thin crust pizza and there's nobody in the city that I know of that does it better than these guys. My favourite is the Fungi Misti, a white pizza with mushrooms and truffle oil. We have found the specials to be a great choice every time we eat here as well. If you can't decide, just go with the special ! The espresso could use some more crema, but the gelato makes up for that. A little surprised they're not on the "best of" list this year, a tragic oversight ?!
- Pros: fresh ingridients, variety, great service and cool tunes
- Cons: don't deliver to greenpoint.
hubba hubba

freshest ingredients, all good quality, no cardboard cans of cheese here. Reminds me of my fav place in Rome near the train station.
Try the dishes, real fine.
- Pros: best looking waitresses
- Cons: neighborhood filled with eurotrash

from the moment i walked in to paying the bill i felt i was getting what i expect when i choose to eat out rather than stay home.we tried samples of most of the menu as and liked each one better than the next.we had a couple of questions not only was the waiter helpful the owner felt responsible enough to come over answer any questions and cater to our specific needs.I can cook -when i go i out i look for the whole package and the experience did not disappoint especially the food.
- Pros: service ambiance superb food
- Cons: none
Killer Pizza
by Cbell
I had never been to Brooklyn. We went to Fornino for a late lunch. The pizza was out of this world and the place had a feel that made us sad to leave. Just a really great vibe. We thought the prices were fair as well. My first visit to brooklyn was a great experiance thanks to Fornino.
- Pros: Great feel, Great food
Pizza for the next generation: Fantastic Williamsburg pizzeria pays homage to the classics while adding a few twists of its own.
by Erin Behan
The glow from the restaurant's wood-burning oven carries a warm welcome to the unpretentious neighborhood crowd. The narrow front room lined with wooden tables opens into an indoor/outdoor back dining room, overlooking potted herbs that top the pies. Generous toppings grace the more than 20 pies, organized by first, second and third generation. Even on the classic, normally spare, margherita, the rich mozzarella nearly overpowers the sweet tomato sauce; yet the richness is addicting. The thin crust, charred black around the edges, adds a smokey dimension to each slice.
worth it the trip to brooklyn

Beautiful italian food, if you have a deep pocket, but I will eccomended for the true italian experience. It is worth it the trip to brooklyn, I never found nothing similar in the city.
- Pros: good food
- Cons: better service
Great Pizza
by Lollia
Truly delicious pizza - the Lombardi, with proscuitto and arugula, and the Margherita are my favorites. It's a comfortable neighborhood place, though service can be a bit unattentive at times. The tiramisu is some of the best I've ever had.
- Pros: pizza, dessert
- Cons: spotty service
great for lunch!
by csbk
the delicious pizza here is great anytime, but great for a quick lunch outside of the office. the al roker pie is great.. and the arugala sald with pear and gorgonzola amazing!
Awesome pizzas
by davy243
As a fan of traditional/authentic italian pizza, I was a bit dubious of a place called "the Art and Science of pizza (all the more that I heard bad comments about the so-called "attitude" of the staff). The pizzas are just awesome. Thin Crust. Delicious tomato sauce and the freshest ingredients. Ive tried many different pizzas (take-out) and Ive never been disappointed. Im definitely converted.
I think they try too hard
by Pizzaman1279
Pizza was cooked too fast. Chared outer crust and a cold, undercooked inner crust. Besides that it was tastey. I dont think they deserve the 2nd spot. sorry.
- Pros: Fast service
- Cons: Williamsburg
