RUN!!!!

This is the worst company to deal with. They use bait and switch offers where they advertise a good product at low price and declare it out of stock upon arrival. Then offer you an inferior product for more money. They have very discourteous and unreliable salesmen. The last insult of all though is at delivery and so called "installation." That is when you get to meet the owner of the company! He delivers your item and gives you his "expert" opinion that you need to purchase additional attachments (give him another $150 on top of the $75 delivery charge!) or he cannot install it. He is more discourteous than his employees! What a creep! I threw him out and installed it myself. I will never deal with these crooks again!!

AJ Madison or Liebherr No, No, No!

We are customers who received a damaged, defective Liebherr domestic Refrigerator CS1600 on February 3, 2009 from AJ Madison, Brooklyn, NY. We do not know if the defects and damages occurred during transit or manufacturing.
We have two small children and the unit is unstable on its base, which its most dangerous defect.
We contacted both AJ Madison and Liebherr representatives in the USA and Germany and requested its removal from our home. Neither company has claimed responsibility.
We would suggest not buying from either company.

In my life I have never dealt with a company so bad! I have been jerked around so throughly, that the only way to truly get across as to how bad and despicable they truly are, is to offer to speak to you personally. Feel free, if you are tempted to purchase from these people to call me at 718 479-8200. I will be glad to share the complete jerking. I trusted these people, don't make the same mistake.

#1 The sales person will lie to you to get the sale, we all think this is an obvious statement I am sure, but they will tell you ANYTHING to get you to buy what they are selling, they constantly tell the customers their items will arrive on said date, even when the item is in fact on Back Order, so when you call a CSR to get status on your order after it was placed with the Sales Guy a CSR will then tell you it is back ordered, you then would want to cancel and get it somewhere cheaper right? Well then they train us to tell you there is a cancellation fee which FYI there is not. But we will say there is because well our managers tell us to. The "fee" is normally $50 but if you have a BIG order we will say 100-200 depending on the amount of money you spend.
#2 When customers call in for damages (i.e. you received your item(s) and they have a huge dent in them) you will then reach a Damage Line, they will do anything for you to NOT send back the item. they will offer you 10% off, and to be honest if you do have a damage and it is purely cosmetic and can be easily fixed and don?t need to send it back, I would strongly recommend you trying to haggle them down as far as you can I think I have even seen them give 50% off before depending on the problem though, so like for a dent I could say they would give you 30% the key is to be persistent, keep calling EVERYDAY yell and tell them you will do a CHARGEBACK (they hate these words cause they HAVE to give the money if you do one of these)
#3 if you do actually need a new unit.....GOOD LUCK it takes a ridiculous amount of time to even get a person who knows what they are ACTUALLY doing on the phone and then once you have a rep who knows their job, the unit(s) could again be on Back Order or Discontinued, which FYI happens a lot. But the discontinued item(s) are not AJ's fault; it is the fault of the manufacturer. But it can take a while. But again I have seen it take less than a week but that doesn?t happen often

Like the other user said, I would totally give them negative stars if I could. I purchased 4 appliances with them, with the promise of getting over $400 in rebates from the ever so polite salesperson, but that was back in Sept 07, and it is now almost May 08 and I still have not received a single penny. I have called them numerouse times, almost weekly, gotten constant assurances that the rebate is coming, and even had it escalated to the manager (supposedly), but it I have yet to see the rebate, or even be able to get this hypothetical manager's name and contact so I can speak to them directly. The sales person was quite nice, but don't let that deceive you since all his words have been empty promises, always saying that I should see the credit in the next few days. That next few days has turned into over 8 months. They seem to do a great job luring you in, but then after you buy, your on your own. Don't expect anything more from them except lipservice at best if you can actually get a hold of someone.

If I could add negative stars, I would. NEVER do business with this place, or be tempted by the polite SALES staff. They are the only ones that answer the phones. Once you have purchased from this bunch, you are on your own. I had an appliance delivered quite damaged. Even the delivery company driver agreed that it should be returned. After wasting over one hour on hold in several different places in customer NON-service--and only talking briefly to two people, both of whom jammed me back on hold and left me there--the only "satisfaction" I received was an email from someone I spoke to, offering me a 15% refund and an extension of service warranty to KEEP the damaged item- which I had JUST TOLD HER I DID NOT WANT TO DO. There are plenty of other sites on the web offering identical appliances at identical prices. Do yourself a favor and do business with one of those instead--NOT THESE GUYS!

Worst Customer Service Ever

If I could choose 0 stars I would. 5 months after the initial order we have a functioning stove but the broken one lies in pieces in our spare bedroom. They haven't picked it up in over 3 months. They tell you they'll fix it and don't. They don't communicate with you to let you know what's goind on and, to add insult to injury, the promise you price deductions they then weazle out of. Unless you're a masochist, stay away from this company.
- Pros: Any pros are outweighed by their massive lack of customer support.
- Cons: They take back offers they've made, they don't communicate and they don't follow through.

Shop here only if you like flushing your money down the toilet and have nothing better to do for the next month of your life except to stay on hold listening to the same song over and over again only to be treated badly by agitated customer service agents. The air conditioner I ordered arrived physically damaged and did not work. It took almost 2 weeks of calling once
per day EVERY SINGLE DAY just to get the "manager" Irving on the phone. Apparently
he is the brother of the president of the company. Every day I spoke with customer
service who promised me he would call back within 24 hours. Of course, he never
did. According to customer service he is the only person in the entire store that can
handle damaged merhandise. After several promises by their customer service
dept. that UPS will pick up the broken A/C unit "tomorrow". Two MORE weeks have
gone by and I still have it at my house. Read reviews on this and other sites, I wish I
had. These are absoluely the worst reviews of any store I have ever read, and I'm
sure they are all well deserved. I can't believe AJ Madison is still in business with this
level of customer dissatisfaction.
- Pros: Can't think of any.
- Cons: Mean customer service. Difficult to locate manager. Broken merchandise.
