Best Massage in NYC!

I've had many massages both in NYC at some of the top spas and abroad (in Italy, Croatia, Japan, etc) and the massage I had today surpassed any I've had before. The masseuse had the strongest hands I've felt for a woman. I like a firm massage and usually the masseuse doesn't have enough strength to last for the whole hour, but Vanessa had some of the strongest hands - stronger than many massages I've had done by males. Her technique was like no other - every spot she touched felt so good and she really worked out the knots I had in my back - you could tell that she was highly-trained. The massage also offered other small nice touches - which included a chocolate waiting for us on our massage bed, heated massage tables, a hot towel was pressed on our feet after our feet were massaged, eye masks for our eyes when we turned on our backs, etc. The spa itself is peaceful, warm, inviting, and clean. They did a great job with the design and layout of the spa. Our actual massage (we had a couples massage) took place in a room which had natural light coming through - which was a very nice touch.

Overall I would highly recommend this spa and the massages to everyone. I can't wait to start to tell my friends about this place, especially for those who live in Brooklyn - the location is convenient in Park Slope. But even for those who live in Manhattan - it's well worth the ride out. Again, Vanessa gave the best massage I've ever had and I look forward to going back to her!

Superb Spa - rivals the best spas in NYC with a much warmer ambiance

Going to D'Mai is like to going to your best friends home...warm and inviting. Only this best friend will pamper you with extraordinary treatments and superb products. The massages are are excellent but the facials divine!

Lana, the facialist, has hands of gold. I have been geeting facials since the early 1980s and this woman Lana is truly the best. Knowledgable, thorough, gentle, pampering and a wonderful soul. Her facials take years off my skin and it glows.They do not push products onyou although there productes are superb and reasonably price for the quality.

All in all I highly recommend D'Mai

nice spa experience

i'm not one for pampering myself - in fact i could be a bit awkward when people are tending to my every need - but at d'mai i indulged. the staff are sweet and mellow (just how you want it for a relaxing experience) and my massage was heavenly. the facility is quiet, sensual, and smells incredible. the decor takes you off the streets of park slope and plops you into a dim & tranquil world, which to some might be disorienting, but that's just what i needed. the massage table is heated (just enough) so you don't have to worry about getting cold. faina was an attentive massage therapist who immediately recognized the problem zones and focused her energy on working them out. it is pricey, but for those who can afford it, or for the special occasion or gift, i think d'mai is worth it.

I LOVE THIS PLACE

I have been to many spas as I travel frequently due to business. I must admit I love D'mai. Whenever I am in the NYC area, I always make the trip to Park Slope to visit D'mai. Thanks for always taking good care of me.

Best of Best

My daughter got me a package at d'mai for Mothers Day my only question to my daughter is what took you so long to send me to d'mai? I arrived for my appointment a bundle of nerves and left completely calm and relaxed. I received both a facial and massage, both were wonderful. The environment is beautiful and very transforming, I literally felt like I was on vacation. I cannot wait to go back.,let's hope my children can take my hints. I highly recommend d'mai.

Best Spa in the City!

I discovered heaven on earth...Or at least heaven in New York! This is the perfect spa with a tasteful and relaxing decor, but most importantly with great estheticians and massage therapists. Everything was worth of a 5th Ave. experience...only with with Brooklyn prices. Cannot wait to go back!

Best Facial

I had never had a facial before, but this was quite a treat! The aesthetician was fantastic. She was very informative. She first asked me a bunch of questions about what kind of skincare I do for my face. Then took a close look at my skin and gave me some recommendations...all in all she said my skin looked good. Then she gave me peel, washed it off, gave me a face massage, exfoliated...it went on...it was pretty awesome. I've never experienced anything like it. She had a great touch. And all in a very comfortable environment. I've never seen a spa quite like that...even in Manhattan. It's beautiful!! This is definitely the best spa in Brooklyn. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Impressive

I was recently staying at a local Bed & Breakfast in Park Slope and they recommended D'mai to me when I mentioned I could use a little pampering. I was so pleased with my services. I felt right at home from the moment I walked through the door and when I was taken to wait for my services I was not expecting to see such a beautiful quite Oasis right in the heart of Brooklyn. My massage relaxed me and my facial put me right over the top, if it was up to me I never would of left. I will definately make D'mai a regular stop whenever I am remotely near Park Slope.

WOW

My mom gave me a gift certificate for my birthday to d'mai, I live in Park Slope but usually go into the city for my facials. Wow, was I surprised...what a GREAT experience. The spa is beautiful and my facialist was amazing. She really took her time with me and I left glowing. I will never take the subway home from a facial again.

Overpriced spa experience

This place is overpriced for all their services. My sister in law got a body treatment, only to break out in hives 2 days later. Yes, it is a pleasant environment, but nothing special enough to pay $130 for a one hour massage. They offer some nuts and dried fruit, and some fruity water, but that's it! I expected to be somewhat pampered. Oh well, I won't return!
