Thanks for the great job!. I just want to tell you about my move. A few weeks ago I got a good job offer in another city, so I started my research in the internet for a good Moving Company. After making many calls with estimates with a very different price range I finally talked to a very friendly customer service lady. She was very comprehensive and explained me all twice if needed. We agreed on a free visual estimate so a few days later 2 movers showed up to do a visual estimate. I thought that I would have to take off a complete day at work, but since they arrived even earlier than schedule and calculated really fast, I only lost a few hours and could go back to work. So I scheduled the move because they offered me the best price from all the estimates I got from the different moving companies. Two days before the scheduled day the manager called me to verify the address and confirmed the details of the move. The day of the move the 3 guys showed up on time and you could immediately tell that they knew what they were doing! They packed and loaded my whole stuff very fast and delivered it faster than expected to my new home! After verifying the new stuff, I realized that nothing got really damaged, just some minor scratches which were covered by the insurance. So no problems at all! Since I had no trouble at all, they offered the best price and it went all very quickly and smoothly, I don´t hesitate to recommend them to anybody who is looking for a good moving company. We left our home area for job relocation and have looked and looked for accredited moving companies that are certified and have great recommendations. This one came up to be one of the top. I contacted them and customer service was just amazing. Mike, the GM, helped me through the process, provided me a quote quickly explaining all costs related to my move. No hidden charges. All information was presented on the quote. I shopped around a little bit and many companies were not providing me with the full picture and were not honest about possible fees. Thanks to Jim, he gave me a few tips on what questions needed to be asked to have the true answer. When I asked these questions to the competitors, there were hesitant to answer. I opted to go with this company Remarkable Movers.. Hiring a professional mover for the first time, I was a little anxious and skeptical. But since my company was paying for it, I wanted to make it as easy as myself as possible. First, I called around getting estimates. Most of the professional movers were about the same price for the 2 bedroom apartment worth of contents I had to be moved over 1,000 miles. It took a little while to understand all of the fine print like the binding and non-binding estimates, as well as insurance and limitations of liability. I opted to go with this company Remarkable Movers. The gentleman was very courteous and prompts with the phone calls and faxes, and explained everything fairly well to me. I had a lot of questions, and most of them were answered quite well. I decided to pack my own things since they would be stored in a storage unit prior to being moved. If moving things from or to a storage unit, choose a unit that is easily accessible to an 18-wheeler. I had a 20x10' unit pretty much full. I didn't get insurance since I didn't have anything too valuable and felt that I packed everything very well myself. I was given a 2-day window for pickup and a 5-day window for drop-off. I was told they would call for instructions the day before and so they did. Great communication and everything worked out extremely well for pickup. For loading, the driver and worker did very well while a family member watched. For drop-off, the driver had excellent communication, and I was able to fax maps to the driver to aid in the 18-wheeler-unfriendly roads in my area. The driver arrived on the first day of the 5-day drop-off period, at the planned time. The driver and worker were professional and courteous and everything was handled with great care. My furniture didn't appear to have any additional wear. I was most worried about a nice bedroom suite, but careful inspection showed it made the move great. The only thing I did notice was the corner of one wall near the corridor appeared to have been scraped by some furniture, only requiring some touch-up painting.…

REMARKABLE MOVERS will Always be MY BEST CHOICE. We hadn't moved since post-college days, over twenty years ago, and had plenty of trepidations, thanks to hearing plenty of mover-horror stories. These Movers was located through an internet site after phone calls to 6 or 7 movers, three were invited to provide a (free) estimate; These Movers pricing came in the middle, but their representative was a good deal more thorough, and the estimate more detailed, than the others. Because of closing problems, we changed the moving date three times. Every change was quick and easy. We were moving a two-bedroom apartment, bursting at the These Movers with books (over 80 boxes thereof) from an elevator building in Manhattan to one in San Diego. The move was scheduled to begin at 9-11 AM and estimated to take about 10 hours. These Movers arrived at 8 AM. They were willing to wait an hour, but as luck would have it, for the first time in five years, the elevator was out of order. The apartment was on the third floor, and the super, wringing his hands, promised to get the elevator working as soon as possible, so the move began. Twelve hours later, it was finished. The elevator started working after the apartment was all but empty. The truck was not finally loaded until after 3 o'clock. I drove off to the airport fully expecting to hear that the movers had decided to quit for the day and deliver our goods next month (lol), but no, they arrived 10 days later and finished the move. Except for some prodding by the head of the crew that a generous tip would be in order ("This was big job, Robert"--and it was), there were no attempts to jack up the price because of the elevator, and no charge for the 8-9 hour. Despite all, the final cost was within $100 of the estimate. Fragile goods were well packed and there was little or no damage. A few small things have not yet been located, but there were no major losses. The men were good natured and worked hard. Whenever I gave them instructions, even if it involved mind-changing or more work, they carried them out exactly. Moving itself is nightmare enough; These Movers minimized the difficulties. At the end of the day I was thoroughly drained but grateful that the movers had seemed to be on my side.…

Worst Movers Ever, Fake Reviews. I started out my journey with Remarkable Movers really enthusiastically, as they were highly recommended by people other yelpers. I was impressed by the courtesy and professionalism of the receptionist. I called on Friday asking for a Monday appointnment, and she accommodated me. But things went downhill form there.

My mother called me on Monday morning, frantic because one of the movers, the foreman I think, was bitterly complaining about the conditions. He was upset because there was dust and he felt he was not adequately prepared to be in the environment. He proceeded to disparage his boss, saying that the owners didn't care about him or his health. He immediately told my mother that the move would require more than three hours and movers, and that he was not going to be able to complete it. He continued to complain and have an attitude for the rest of the move. At one point he was in his truck while the other two movers were unloading, and when my mother approached him, he responded that he would not charge her for the full hour.

I am not disappointed that the man took issue with the conditions, but rather his handling of the situation. Had I known there would be that amount of dust and mold, I would have notified the dispatcher. Instead of incessantly complaining and giving my mother an attitude, he could have explained that the conditions necessitated special protective equipment and more men, and therefore they would have to reschedule. He could have handled it professionally, not like an insolent 5 year old. My mother offered him a mask and gloves, yet he continued to whine. I even called the dispatcher and apologized for not having properly prepared him, and he said that his men were prepared for "anything." Clearly, they were not.

I emailed the receptionist, and she responded by politely brushing me off and never fully addressed my concerns. While the physical move went fine, the added stress of the complaining employee left my mother harried and stressed out. The did not complete the move, and we hired another company to come back later in the week.
