STOLEN WALLET

My wallet was stolen out of my bag on Friday night at Royale. The bouncer did not seem to care and told me that it was lost. He said he knew who did it but could not do anything about it.!!!!!!!!!! NOt a friendly bar for Gowanus and park slope!

Solid Place

I go to the Royale on the regular and it's always a good time. Bartenders are great and they go out of there way to take care of you. The DJs do a good job getting the crowd going and the dance floor is never empty. All in all, it's a really fun place.

I had my birthday party at the Royale last week and it was fantastic. The staff (including Chris in the video), were accomadating, sweet & master mixologists. The DJ was great, those of us who wanted to, danced all night in the back room & the wall flowers had fun hanging out in front with the regular crowd. The vibe was great & so is the decor, they even have a gold lion! it's a perfect place to have your party or to just stop by on any given night for a drink.

Candle in the Wind....but no alcohol in my drink

Royale has got a great location and set up, it's just unfortunate that the guy who run s it seems like some bridge / tunnel guy thinking he's running a club in SOHO. They've also got a great little dance floor in the back, it's just too bad they don't have waitress service, and it's been a while since I've seen any hot ladies dancing back there- probably b/c I haven't heard good music being played there in a while.

This place was good for a random Friday night a couple of monthsback, but i prefer Timboo's down the block on 11th street for some cheap shots, convo and a jukebox like none other.

Great Place, Atrocious DJ

We read the reviews and were psyched to check this place out. Walking in, the scene looked great and we were all set to dance the night away when this seriously deranged DJ started spinning some crazy foreign disco--including a Hava Nagila remix (seriously) that was actually slowed down to the point it was undanceable. The people in the room gave it a good effort, but after several songs in the same vein, the room cleared out and we were forced to run away when the DJ decided the solution to the problem was to crank the music up to a painful level.

So if you see an Andy Warhol-looking wannabe, run the other way. Hopefully he's not a regular staple of Royale because otherwise it looks like it could be a really fun place to hang out.

Great dance floor

I went to The Royale last saturday and it was a nice surprise. I went for my friend's birthday and we had a great time. I never would have expected a place like this in Park Slope. Now I have a favorite place to go and dance. The service was great and the drinks were top notch. This is the only place I know in Brooklyn that has DJs and dancing and doesn't charge a cover. NIce!!! I'll be going back soon.

It's hot in the hot tub!

I totally dig this place. A bunch of my friends were in from out of town and we partied here all night! Great music, hot bartenders. I totally rocked it and ended up bringing home some hot chick. Thank god there's finally a place to dance in Brooklyn. Yeah...shake it!

Great environment!!!!

I've been to this bar a couple of times with my friends and we absolutely love it!! The place is great, the drinks are amazing, the people are beautiful and I could go on and on..... If you haver never been there YOU HAVE TO GO!!!! I find Royale pretty stylish and at the same time very entertaining.... So... if you really want to have a great time in New York City what are you waiting for??? GO to Royale!!! Have fun!!!
