misleading and irresponsible service

This place does not keep its promises -- STAY AWAY. In mid-December, 2006, I brought a valuable gold watch to Facets to be repaired, and was told that it would take approximately one week. Over the following few weeks, I came to the shop repeatedly -- usually at least several times a week -- and was repeatedly told "We'll have it later today or tomorrow, and we'll call you at your home number in an hour or two to give you an update on what's happening." No-one ever called me, or apologized for having failed to do so, and the watch was never there the next day. In early January I had a confrontational discussion with the store's manager. I told him that based on the many delays and problems with service, I no longer wished to use them for the repair, and wanted the watch back as soon as possible. He told me that the repairman they used was away on vacation until January 26th, and they had no way to get the watch before then. He assured me that the watch would be returned fixed, that I would be called as soon as they had it, and that given the problems I had encountered, he would not charge me anything for the repairs. I was never called back, and on January 27th I called and was told that the watch was there, but not fixed, and it would cost me $120 (and many more weeks) to fix it. Extremely unhappy with the service and no longer trusting them at all because of their ongoing inability to either fix the watch or even produce it to prove that they still had it, I came to the shop and picked it up. I now have the watch, six weeks after originally bringing it in, but with no repairs, and a lot of headaches and anxiety from the many unreturned calls and visits that failed to produce any information or the watch itself.

Gorgeous store.

Must see products here. I am not big in jewelry but when i went in here for a repair i bought a to die for necklace. My bracelet was fixed within 15 minutes. They did not charge much. Good experience .

Beautiful store .

I was impressed with the price i got at facets for this specific item ( which i will not say ) because i have been shopping downtown Brooklyn and did not think a store on 7th ave and union with such nice decor would have such inventory.
Did not pay attention to the staff so i do not know how they really are bu i was greeted with a hello. I am a quick person so when i see something i like i buy it.

I just go here because of the quick repairs and inexpensive and the store looks real nice. Mind you the guy at the front is extremely handsome.

I worked in Facets for 2 weeks and then I left, because of the amount of shadiness, lack of respect, and incorrect co worker ship. Customers who drop off jewlery that needs repairs, think again 70 percent of the time your jewlery is sent to other places, meanwhile facets jewler recieves all the credit ! NOT RIGHT !
Workers gipped me off my pay and leaving a new worker in a store on their first day at a new job ?!! WHO DOES THAT ??!!!! They do have nice jewlery selections to choose from, but yet so unorganized. Having experience in the Retail Industry, I know what is expected as far as customer service and merchandise. Working hard for what they paid me wasnt enough or satisfying for me !! So please fellow shoppers think twice about what you are commiting to !!!!

Right On Point!

I found Facets by chance and I am very happy I did. I saw their shop at the new Limelight Marketplace. I fell in love with their jewelry immediately, it was like stepping foot into jewelry heaven. The salesperson who was extremely courteous, and knowledgeable told me about their other shop in Park Slope Brooklyn. I stopped in as I said I would, and I couldn't believe my eyes. To start off the store is gorgeous, and the jewelry gets better and better in each case. I am very glad to have stumbled upon my life long friends and jewelers.

I had a beautiful design in my mind for a ring I wanted made and was unable to find anywhere. I searched on the web and found Facets, I read their reviews which then led me to their store in Park Slope( beautiful neighborhood ). I looked for the design and was still unable to find it. The sales associate approached me and mentioned something about custom making my own ring, with no fee they said they would bring their in house designer out and help me perfect my idea. After one hour of talking in the store I decided they seemed like they knew what they were talking about. Approximately 4 weeks later I get my ring... I was shocked because it looked absolutely, exactly as I had pictured in my mind. It's like they just got into my head and understood everything I expected. Now I am able to brag about my ring to everyone :) . Do yourselves a huge favor, go to Facets.

A Gem Of A Store

From the moment I walked in I could tell that this is not your average jewelry store. The staff greeted me as if I was not just a customer but a long time friend, a vibe that I felt for my entire time there. Although I was one of quite a few people in the store at the time I still received the level of personal attention that is almost impossible to find. The recommendations I received when I described the people I was shopping for were dead on the mark and I knew I was buying something that I would not be able to find anywhere else. The only thing I regret was that I was unable to buy everything in the store. Each piece I saw was unique and beautiful in its own different way. It made the usually stressful process of Christmas shopping into a pleasant and relaxed experience.

Park Slope Jewel

Whenever I enter Facets I feel like a kid once again, not knowing where to turn first. Overall, the jewelry is uniquely designed, beautifully hand-crafted - and stunning. I rarely shop elsewhere for that special piece of silver or gold and enthusiastically recommend the store to friends. A special thanks to the owners/managers, Lenny and Irina, for their hand-picked selections coupled with a friendly, accommodating demeanor.

Flawless

Buyers have the perfect eye, amazing selection. I would have bought everything if I only could :-). I purchased a unique hand filigree 1920's ring, for which my jaw still drops each time I look down at my finger. Need I even mention the helpful and friendly staff? When I'm at Facets I am home away from home. Highly recommended to all, trust me you wont regret a thing.

Unique EVERYTHING!

I've been shopping around for an engagement ring for my girlfriend ( now fiance, thanks to Facets) for a while now. And I can genuinely say that there are absolutely no jewelry stores like this one. I saw the most unique setting, and they also helped me get a diamond for it. I feel like I could have been shopping around for another two years and would have never found anything that comes close to their designs. It was a headache free experience, they had professional jewelers on site who helped me with the technicalities of the procedure. I was fully informed of every step. Absolutely Amazing. My fiance and I are so thrilled we got our ring from Facets. I recommend this store to all those who want a handcrafted quality piece.
