Whet it comes to guitars, forget Times Square shops. They are still the best places for recording equipment and digital effects processors. However, they do not hold a candle to Ludlow's selection and service for acoustic and electric guitars. They also have a great selection of analog effects, fuzz boxes, and both new and vintage amps. They can repair and customize electic guitars, and they also offer a decent selection of classic used instruments. It's no wonder some of New York's best bands go here.
Pros: Downtown location, Personal service, Can customize orders
Cons: Not a discount shop, Little parking
