low-key

My girlfriend and I have meet some great people at this bar. One of the best bars to strike up actual conversations with strangers who turn out to be neighbors. It isn't Manhattan and we don't want it to be. All I have to say is Keep on keeping on!
- Pros: interesting friendly conversation, location, excellent mojito
- Cons: would not change a thing
I dont know what the rave is all about.

I dont know what people are raving about - this place is nowhere near the best in brooklyn! I was actually dissapointed when I came there. There was no AC, there were like 2 people at the bar & there was an odor coming from all the old furniture. I would not come back.
great vibe, will return

went last time for the first time and am here posting to praise. vibe is perfect -- very much like 18th street lounge in DC in the downtempo/chill way. warm atmosphere, quick service, cool bartenders. dj was playing music that was perfect for the space and really set the mood. great for a group or for dates i would say. im definitely going back.
- Pros: vibe, music, service, crowd
- Cons: was there on a friday night and it wasnt packed -- this could be a pro
Best Bar in Brooklyn
by girlgirl61
This is the best bar in Brooklyn. It is has an eclectic, mixed, hip crowd. This is the perfect place to go to hear live music, have drinks, go on a date, or go dancing late at night. The staff is extremely friendly and the fireplace gives off a really warm vibe. On any given night, something different is happening. One night, you might find bands playing, on another night the dj is spinning some great tunes. This bar gives off the feeling of an old dance hall in the days when Manhattan was actually cool. Great drinks, chill vibe, interesting people. A rare find.
Great Bar/Lounge

This place is really nice, whether you're looking for a spot for a date, grabbing some drinks with friends, whatever. It's a pretty relaxed atmosphere, and I've never heard the live music, but the staff is super nice, the fries are yummy, and I love the fireplace. Allover a great place.
- Pros: staff, location, prices, warm, inviting place
- Cons: not very lively
Cool Place
by nwil
They have live music, though not always the best, nice small friendly atmoshpere with a fireplace and always a great mixed group of people. Service can be a little slow and the beers are not always on tap but the food is good and there is never a rush. Perfect for a date.
Sexy, Smooth, Fun
by ladyofquality
Kili is a great place to have a conversation with an old friend or a complete stranger. Quality and fun people seem to magnetized to this lounge off the beaten path. But, obviosly it's worth a short walk, because people tend to find themselves fiending the energy that resides therein and end up staying for hours at a time! I love it, my friends love it, and anyone who likes a good time will love it too.
- Pros: Good music, Ecclectic Crowd, Great Menu
Fireside pints and warming spirits in a mod Boerum Hill lodge.

The Scene
It doesn't have to be snowing out for you to enjoy the apres-ski atmosphere of one of Brooklyn's few fireplace bars. Exposed brick and wooden beams, a hoop chandelier and squishy red banquettes make for cozy environs. Seats by the sleek hearth get scooted aside each time the flames are stoked, but the glow reaches every nook in the room.
The Draw
No hot drinks are served, so make do with an icy Hoegaarden from the tap. Funky beats from the '70s archives are played at a respectable volume for meeting and greeting all those other 20- to 30-somethings. The neighborhood had been screaming for a young, hip hangout, and it got one--with an atmosphere much hotter than expected.
The Best bar in brooklyn
by tomandeddie
Forget about the scene in manhattan or williamsburg! Kili is the best bar I've been to in a long time. The atmosphere is a cool, laid back , hip , sophisticated alternative the usual over crowded bar scene found in Manhattan or Williamsburg. Claude , the owner- bartender will make you a killer mojito and he's not hard on the eyes either!
my fave nabe bar

Not only because it's two doors down, but the fireplace rocks, lighting's good, crowd's friendly - and anywhere you can have downtempo electronica segue into crazydancingfun 80s tunes and chill out to Ravel after hours is awesome.
- Pros: cozy fireplace, friendly locals, best* bococa area bar
- Cons: futzed central heat, ran out of Jack?!
