kewl spot!

Its a nice little spot. I will stress LITTLE ... it can get very packed in there so consider yourself warned!!! I have been there sooo many times that Bobby (the owner) knows me and he's always kool. The bartenders (uhhh.. 1 in particular)... Man! I can watch him pour drinks aaaalll night long. The music is different on a nightly basis sooo some nights are better than others (for me). But's it a nice, friendly little place, and I always have an awesome time when i stop by.

A mix of styles in tune with the neighborhood.

The Scene
Outside, the spray-painted mural incorporates palm trees, portraits and block-lettered tags. Inside, the mood is bachelor-pad-tiki, with a curvilinear flow to the room. Plush, chunky chairs, wicker tables, a chandelier with electric candles and a glittery lava lamp enhance the reinterpreted retro feel. Salsa on the speakers, sometimes accompanied by owner Bobby Bell's deft percussion on a martini shaker, is pitch perfect.

The Draw
With no lack of watering holes to choose from, Williamsburg's young guns have warmed to the bar and its backyard lined with gravel. Margaritas and somewhat steep house drinks, including a delicious raspberry white-chocolate martini (made with Stoli raspberry, Godiva white chocolate liqueur and Chambord), keep asses in the seats.

Beautiful place, beautiful people, well stacked bar... and ohhh those employees!!! aight!!! music banging... exactly what i needed to hear on a friday night...... if you haven't been there yet GO...

Relaxing & Eyepleasing

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this place. Great underground hip-hop, friendly service, and reasonably priced drinks. The decor is really laid-back, with incredible artwork on the walls.

• Pros: Easy to find, Near a cab company, Cheap drinks
• Cons: Small space, Not romantic

Rain Lounge is a great place. Here you will find whatever you are looking for..each night there is something different going on in order to suit all clientele. The great taste decore of the place gives it that unique, intimate atmosphere which insures that almost everybody will feel nice in there. Bobby is a straight up to the point personality that onws the place and does evrything to keep you addicted to rain lounge.

• Pros: good crowd, good music, good service
• Cons: too crowded sometimes

Squeeze

If you like Hip Hop and RnB,then the place to go for an hour or two is Rain Lounge.Bobby is nice to you,the bartenders are always friendly and you can have a lot of fun on a saturday or friday night between 1 and 3am in the morning,when they are closing and it is usually still packed!!!I just love it!

• Cons: small bathroom

Nice mixed bar

Usually a good crowd, mixed gay and straight. Service at the bar can be a bit sketchy, but you're usually well-taken care of in the lovely outdoor patio. Atmosphere is fun and laid-back.
