my girlfriend bag was stolen from under the bar (they have some hook left) and the manager said what do you want me to do? if she was a person of color he would at least gathered some information for future use.

or help us look for it. No, he was too busy sitting in front of the door. Also, watch the bartenders - they steal!

wanted to go inside moes on a friday nite for drinks with friend...lo and behold there was this woman sitting in the bar with her child....what the H--- was that all about. after work crowd was coming in and she is in there with her baby. nerver say nerver when you think you seen it all....talk about a turnoff.....went to another place in nieghborhood....Please ...I think I would have fell to the floor if she was beastfeeding ....

Never, ever go to this bar

We just got home from Moe's, which used to be our favorite neighborhood bar. That is, until the bouncer pushed one of my friends in her face after she put her feet on the coffee table. Do not go to this bar. The owner is a horrible person -- after the altercation between my friend and the bouncer, in which she told the owner "Your bouncer just pushed me in the face" he told my friend "I don't believe you." Say it ain't so, Moe. You need to learn how to run a business.

Veronica the manager at moe's is Busted, and has a BAD attitude, maybe it's because she is having a baby

And Moses the bouncer on weekends Has DO-DO Breath........

And he seems to be mildly RETARDED.

Rude Staff

I'm psyched for the people who haven't had a problem with the staff at Moe's. I've lived in Fort Greene many years and believe me, want to like this bar since it's one of few in the 'hood.

That said, Butch the bartender is rude and at times, downright hostile. I guess it depends if he decides he "likes" you or not. And before people say it's because I'm difficult, having worked as a bartender myself, am never anything but polite and friendly.

Likewise, the female bartender/owner is rude and snotty, for no apparent reason.

I don't know. It's just puzzling.

When you're a paying customer and you're being polite and cordial, that kind of attitude is mind-boggling.

I saw a recent posting about this place and was moved to write a review in response to "Avoid Fridays and Saturdays". Contrary to that review its an awesome chillax environment. I am a regular there almost every Friday and Saturday night and I always have a great time. There has NEVER been a fight or brawl in my year and a half going to this spot. I agree it does get crowded and the service will slow down a bit due to the lack of bartenders but that just gives you a chance to go outside and get some air, or smoke a cigarette and meet cool people while things hash out inside. The crowd is eclectic...never any riff raff. Mostly artsy, hipster locals and people who dont feel like all the way to Manhattan to have a good night out. Hands down its my favorite place to go in Brooklyn. I hope it stays open FOREVER !! Bartenders are cool and its a wonderful establishment...where everybody knows your name!

Good Nights, Great Bartenders

I love this place. I come in and find a seat at the bar, my early week bartenders are pouring my usual and greet me with a smile. I'm not very social and they don't push. The regulars are a hog pog group of people that are smart and over the years seems to get larger in number. With each bartender you get different music. Sometimes a jazzy infused Sunday with everyones fav Sean. On Monday and Tuesdays with Butch it's all your favorite rock, r&b and alt 80's tunes. Maria's funky Wednesdays are my personal favorite. I'm not crazy about the karaoke on Tuesday, but it's always crowded. The only downside for me is, when it gets very crowded the service becomes slow with only one bartender on duty. Oh and as an observer in my favorite watering hole, if a bartender is rude to someone; it ususally means they did something rude to deserve it. These folks don't take no mess from anyone.

• Cons: Karaoke, slow service when busy

AVOID FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHTS

Unprofessional and rude bouncers, nasty manager (veronica) and butch the bartender -pls get hook on phonics and learn how to count. Be careful with this bartender if you do not tip him to his liking, he will include the tip in the price of your drink - this is not acceptable. its called stealing! Almost every weekend there is a brawl or fist fight at this bar. It is becoming a problem to the fort greene scene. Who is running this place. There are enough critters in the neighborhood! get it together Moe's.

The Only spot in Ft Greene

This is it for me.No where else close by even compares. It's my neighborhood bar. Yeah, I don't go late on weekends. I don't go to any bars late night on weekends if i don't want to get harassed. Happy hour is a good time. Weeknights it's mellow but not dead. The bartenders are cool. The drinks are strong and it's got the best mix of the neighborhood crowd. You never know what you're going to find there. What's cool about Moe's is it's not uptight and it's not a dive. I have definitely lost some hours there.When I'm good and hammered sometimes I'll stumble to the Alibi but by that time I'm in no condition to critique.
