The Scene

Conveniently located off of Bedford Avenue, enabling both Greenpoint and Willamsburg

residents to easily walk to play their favorite game. Don't feel the need to wear your whites, though, as you're more likely to see players in frayed cut-offs and ripped old Pavement T-shirts.

The Times

Weekend mornings are pretty crowded, with the old-timers hogging a few courts at a time, so early evening is your best bet. Prepare to be watched

though, as school kids and other players are likely to check out your moves on the benches facing the courts. The courts close at the unspecific "dusk," so if you show up at 7:30pm on a summer evening, you won't get kicked off the second the sun goes dim.
