Slow service
by yukster11
Came here on a Saturday Night. Main level seemed a bit slow, downstairs was packed due to a party. Seems to draw a crowd of young 20 somethings. The jukebox has a good variety. There were TV's upstairs and downstairs that instead of showing sports were showing a movie. The service upstairs was very slow. After waiting at the non-crowded bar for about 10 minutes, the bartender graciously decided to serve me. Too many other options in this area to have to deal with slow service.
- Cons: Service
great space, but...

great location. great space. friendly bartenders. downstairs is a comfortable lounge area. However, I found it to be homophobic when 2 girls playing pol were giggling immaturely at me and my boyfriend while we were minding our own business. Thought this place would be more metro considering the neighborhood its in. Would still go back on a weekend night though.
- Pros: fair priced drinks
- Cons: homophobic experience
Definition of Chill

Bar Reis is great. If you want to grab a few inexpensive brews, you can do it here. Great wine? You can get it here. Great mixed drinks and cocktails? Not so much. Other than that, this place is great for low-key conversation with your group or a date spot or chatting it up with neighborhood people. The staff's friendly, especially the owner Reis. Outside is beautiful and there's even a pool table downstairs.
- Pros: Great, inexpensive beer and wine, great space
- Cons: no beers on tap, all of it's bottled
Favorite Bar in Park Slope

Great place to go in Park Slope! The vibe is very fun and mellow - the people were great. Very chill, with no frills. The garden in the back is great for smokers like myself. Order the nachos and you won't be disappointed.
- Pros: The garden out back and the internet jukebox
- Cons: No heat lamps in the garden

Identity Crisis!

Bar Reis is such a nice space - two floors, cozy downstairs and a lovely backyard. However, neighborhood thugs insist on hanging out in front and in the doorway, making the bar very unwelcoming, and making the street level bar feel very much like a frat party with The Sopranos. If you choose to shove past them and head downstairs, you can have a good experience at Bar Reis. Why the owners won't get rid of the riff-raff is beyond me!
- Pros: backyard, downstairs bar
- Cons: thugs, thugs, thugs
Thugtastic!
by technosnob
We went in there on a Friday night and found the crowd much different than other Park Slope bars. The crowd is similar to the crowds at Loki. The decor made us think it's be more like the crowd at Great Lakes - nope!
The bartender was competent, but extremely annoying. He kept trying join our conversation, which I don't usually mind, but he just barged into our conversation to change the subject. Not conducive to fun! Go elsewhere!
- Pros: Pool table, Big, Seating
- Cons: , Thuggish crowd
One bar, three scenes, countless personalities.

The Scene
Few Slope bars attract the variety of clientele that this explorable, multi-level lounge does. Upstairs, chatty regulars crowd the smallish bar debating neighborhood politics or what CD to play next. Downstairs, in the louder basement lounge--with a separate bar and streetwise soundtrack--groups check each other out. And out back, in a spacious garden accessible from both floors, candlelit couples are oblivious to both.
The Draw
With the wide scope of patrons come an array of offerings, such as karaoke Thursdays and poetry readings the first Tuesday of the month. Bands frequently play on weekends, setting up in an overhead loftspace on the first floor. A group of joggers like the lounge so much they make it the end goal of their monthly run, then celebrate. With the power to pick and choose, many who drop by discover one a bar scene to suit their taste.
No attitude
by Christiana01
This is a great, casual, neighborhood bar, that offers lounge-style lounging downstairs. Me and my boyfriend's first time there, both bartenders went out of their way to introduce themselves and make small-talk. Some of the regulars even came over and said hello. Nice fooz-ball table, and overall friendly vibe. It was just what we were looking for - a place to relax with absolutely no attitude.
Bar None!

The most diverse spot in Brklyn. Downstairs is hip/hop with a D.J. -could use better seating and more dancing.Upstairs the Fab barkeeps play their music- and you can just chill. All the bartenders-male and female can make a drink and have a conversation-I'd thought it was a lost art!!Karaoke for those who never did it (moi) rocks! No attitude and plenty of laughs.Contact wearers-beware-VERY smoky!!All peeps, ages, races, faces. Coolest spot in Slope.
- Pros: friendly, good bartenders, different rooms
- Cons: SMOKEY!!!, "unfinished"basement, no dancing on the bar
