Tickets are cheaper online

The theatres and screens are a tad bit smaller than most other movie theatres. Prices are getting raised yearly. They often have projection delays and start 15 minutes late or giv eyour your money back. The pavilion is ok, a nice area, and the Connecticut Muffin on the next corner is delicious. The prices are quite dissappointing, so I order then online on Fandango. cheaper. and I hate climbling the stairs to the third floor, if you are unlucky enough to have a movie on that floor, it can sore out your feet.
- Pros: They have the most popular feature hollyeood films
- Cons: Theater could be messy at times and have projection delays
Nearby but not a pleasant place to be
by ebloustein
I go to this theater because it is close. Period. I would go anywhere else by preference. For a short person, the seats are HORRENDOUS. The theater is tacky. The individual viewing spaces are mostly awkward and uncomfortable. Were is not for convenience of location, I would never go.
- Pros: Lots of current movies
- Cons: Uncomfortable seats, awkward theaters

Noisy Noisy Noisy Noisy Noisy
by sfrucht02
I stopped going here last winter. I got too tired of not being able to hear the film. There are not only children, but adults that chatter through all the movies. There was even a man on his cell phone making calls throughout one film. And forget about ushers or whatever, they don't do anything. I wasn't asking for much; I was fine with the funky velvet purple seats, sticky floors, poor seating layouts, and overpriced concessions & tickets. All I wanted was to be able to sit through a movie uninterrupted. You can do better than this place.
The Pavilion is not so bad
by pavemployee
It's small but still has everything you need to enjoy a movie. Ask for fresh popcorn, remember you used to be a teenager too, make sure you get a confirmation email when you order online, and don't be so picky about how big the screen is, yes it's still much larger than your TV.
- Pros: Convenient location cozy setting.
- Cons: Not a multiplex.
Avoid at All Costs

Yesterday, I went to see the new Batman film at Park Slope Pavillion. Every screening of Batman was selling out. The Park Slope Pavillion knew that hundreds of people would be racing there to see Batman. In Brooklyn it was very hot (96?F).
To save money, this owner of this dump refuses to turn on the air conditioner. The owner forces the staff to act like the AC is being repaired. This is the 2nd time I have been there this month and an usher came out and apologized to the crowd about the AC problem, pretending it was a new, sudden, and unexpected problem.
Movie tickets are too expensive to put up with the Park Slope Pavillion.
- Pros: Sauna
- Cons: No Air Conditioning in the Summer
Slumlord run Theatre
by eXe13
I never knew anyone to not take pride in something they own. The owners of the Pavilion are like slumlords that take advantage of people. They wanted to own a theatre but it seems they don't really want to run it. They hire young inexperienced people to "run" the theatre for them. I have seen rodents in the theatre and even felt some run across my toes. The staff are rude, their concession stand selection is bad, and the only thing good is their favored popcorn toppings. If you get fresh popcorn you are lucky its often stale. It even comes with a side of teenage angst. The seats are often broken and the screening rooms are really small. I hate it but its close by. I also hated the fortway but at least it was bigger than the screening rooms at the pavillion.
- Pros: popcorn flavoring
- Cons: everything else
Is like having your own movie theatre
by John2009
Everytime I'm in the mood of watching a nice movie I take a minute walk. On a weekend you can take your kids to the park and then end it up with a nice movie. I never had a problem with the staff and / or anything else. Projection and sound are digital, price is fair, they always show the better movies and is just across home. Its a friendly movie theatre not an opera. I've found in every movie theatre in the city some of the same concerns mentioned in other reviews about this place. If you ever find a broken seat just don't sit there and find a better spot, usually there is plenty of chairs to choose from since it is usually not that crowded.
