Kristophe isn't just the name of that Polish exchange student you had a thing for anymore-- now it's also a restaurant. Few of the new eateries opening in North Brooklyn are inspired by the local Polish community but Kristophe is changing that. The owner of Greenpoint’s Krolewskie Jadlo and Krzysztof Drzewiecki is showcasing a hearty Eastern European menu filled with more than goulash. Polish-cuisine lovers will be delighted by the duck pierogies or duck legs covered with cherry sauce, while those looking for pub food have burgers and wild game sausages--all meant to be washed down with European craft brews.
