Stayed open late!. I called yesterday to ask how late they were open, and he said, "How fast can you get here?" He stayed open an extra 15 minutes, so I could get there after work and feed my starving dog! Acme also has an excellent selection of toys and they offer prompt and reliable delivery.…
Best Pet Food place in area!. I moved to Park Slope back in 1994, and have used these guys since. Small shop, but has everything you would need or want. Great selection of quality food for cats, dogs and birds, and the prices aren't bad at all either. Plus the guys who own it have been doing it for so long, so if you have a question they would be the ones you would want to ask. With other stores like Petco, or whatever opening up all over the place, these guys are still around and still doing well. So they are doing something right. Best of all, DELIVERY!!! It's a great option for those days that you just can't make it to the store. Which isn't bad because you can enjoy the parkside and Grand Army plaza on the walk there. Besides, I would rather pay the delivery guy a tip than resort going to the shady one over here closer to my place (remain nameless).…
Our new neighborhood pet store. Nice, mom-and-pop pet store with the good food brands, etc. you want. Friendly service and delivery (yesss!). Especially glad that they're in our 'hood-- Prospect Heights. Only complaints are that it'd be great if they could store my credit card info, like our old pet store did, so I don't have to read it over the phone every time i place an order. But otherwise, we love these guys, and will be spending a loooot of money here.…
Great Guys & Supplies. A small but pretty well stocked (with "better" brands) pet store. It's run by nice guys and delivers in the local area for free. You may not find every brand or every item, but they will order things for you and will give you advice regarding food & other items. We love this place!…
