Affectionately referred to by locals as simply “the tortilla factory,” this modest Bushwick spot’s tacos have won it quite a following. The busting of the actual working tortilla factory, visible from the taqueria through thick glass walls, is a portent of delicious things to come. Warm, fresh-made tortillas are filled with a generous heaping of either chorizo (the most popular option), carnitas, beefsteak, chicken or vegetables and topped with lettuce, crema, queso fresco and salsa. The clientele, a mix of families and loft-dwelling hipsters, pack the place daily, crowding the long counter or one of the few tables while scarfing down their juicy, dripping tacos.
