Terrible local restaurant. This is a local restaurant that has gotten worse and worse over time (the past 10 years). Instead of improving the quality of their food and staff which has been degrading, it seems like they've hired a parking management company to scam people out of money. The towing company charges extra for receipts (so they can avoid taxes) and scam people out of their money. It's pretty low and this place must have changed management sometime in the past couple of years.

PIECE OF GARBAGE!!! ROACHES AND MORE!!!!. Stay away from this nasty place! The food is gross, the staff is rude,and we saw TWO ROACHES underneath the table when we were leaving!!!!!! But this is not the worst. The worst is that you WILL get your car towed away if you park it there and the parking lot attendand doesnt see you going into the dinner to eat (even though you did). After I came out of the diner with my family I discovered that my car was gone!!!!!! GONE!!!! The parking attendands didnt see that I went into the diner and had my car towed away!!! They didnt care that I ate there; i had to pay over $ 300 to get it back. And the towing company didnt want to give me a receipt! They wanted to pocket the $$$!!!! Then when I requested my receipt, it took them about 20-25 mins to write it and they added 10 extra mins to my timing. When I told them to that the time I parked the car was incorretly stated, they refused to change it! After I got the car, I went back into the diner and raised my complaints to the manager, who was extremely rude and did not want to listed to me. So between the nasty food, rude staff, two roaches and my car being towed, needless to say I am super angry and will be filing a complaint with small claims court as well as BBB.

THEY RIP YOU OFF IN THE PARKING LOT!. PLEASE EMBARGO THIS DINER. WHILE WAITING FOR ME TO MEET HIM MY FRIEND WALKED ACROSS THE STREET TO BUY A PACK OF CIGARETTES, AND HIS CAR WAS HOOKED UP TO A TOW TRUCK AND IT COST HIM $200.00 TO HAVE IT RELEASED. THE DINER MANAGEMENT REFUSED TO HELP, EVEN THOUGH WE ARE REGULAR CUSTOMERS THERE, AND THAT PARTICULAR NIGHT WERE MEETING TO HAVE DINNER. YOU RISK HAVING YOUR CAR TOWED AND HELD FOR RANSOM IF YOU CHOOSE TO EAT THERE!

sick from a two sips. soo i went there may 7th my bday after a long day ordered a red devil i asked first if they would know how to make it.. i got something red in a big glass i took two sips and was sick like over heating had to get out could barely walk kinda sick.. i'm 28 and been drinking for years and do it well i've never been sick from one drink let alone two sips. i dont know wtf it was but eh ruined what was left of a birthday i could have skipped. i've been going there for years onld cause its open 24/7 all the place is good for is an ok cup of coffee or tea and to watch silly teens and 20 somethings act like dumbasses.

DO USE PARKING LOT. Do not eat at this diner. The food is no big deal and too often the service is just as bad as the food. The worst is what they will do to you car if you use the parking lot. They hired a towing company to patrol the parking lot. They time when you go in. If you exceed the time limit, they tow your car away. I was there today-four people altogether. After paying my bill I went across the street for 10 minutes. When I came back, my car was being towed away. As I argued to get my car, I saw two other cars being towed away. I found out that this is happens constantly and on a daily basis.

The Best in Brooklyn.
El Greco is a Landmark! I've been eating here since I moved to Sheepshead Bay in 1995. El Greco has always been for great comfort food. I love the outdoor cafe in the summer time. There is no place like this patio in all of Brooklyn. It overlooks the Bay and has a great feel to it. The Diner was just remodeled and looks fabulous inside. It blows away Vegas and Kouros Diners.
The desserts are all made in house and delish! The strawberry cheese is amazing. i can't figure the negative reviews.... LOL, unless you park there to go someplace else and get your car towed. Haha! Serves you right!
Keep up the good work El Greco! And please don't close like all the other diners in Bklyn!

Food almost good with large portions.Bathroom filthy,
nasty towards americans,hostess looked like warmed over death from nazi times as if to say,'Ve vill brrreak you"...!!!LOL...Staff has a rep as mail order bride rejects.Maybe that's the problem?

Worst diner in Brooklyn. Terrible service, mediocre to bad food - raw meat, no concern whatsoever to presentation, content or taste of food, dirty bathrooms, teenybopper wait staff that huddles and cuddles while you wait an hour for a glass of water, not one person says thank you, and if your food is super bad - nobody says sorry - or is willing to credit you. I live nearby and would love to have a good diner there - but I'm never returning.

I'm with laura84 on this. I had the same problem happen to me tonight, just that I missed my car being towed and it happened. Lowlife. My boyfriend wanted to beat the little informant p.o.s. that works in the lot. He came very very close.
Go figure that they're Russians. It's not a big surprise in the least bit.

Disgusting. Dirty bathrooms, raw burgers, cold fries. molded bread on the wraps. Birthday cakes are too sweet tasting. The beers taste like tar. I hear they wanna tare down this palce and make it into condiminiums. Many of the employees aren't American and treat americans like shittttt. Outdoor seating takes forever to serve you, like they waitor/waitresses almost forget you are there. Very noisy, clanking plates. I heard the health inspector visited this place a number of times through out the years. I'm not comming back here.
