Ate thanksgiving dinner there this year. Food was delicious. Great portion. Price is reasonable. Very attentive staff. Nice atmosphere. Great decor, nothing too fancy. Would highly recommend.

When we walked in the room was inviting and romantic. The view of the water was spectacular and set the mood perfectly. The staff was eager to help with all aspects of this event and remained professional from beginning to end. There was nothing that we needed and didn't receive. Since that day everyone has been raving about how great the food was which I can't blame them I went back last week just for dinner. It was truly a dream come true for my daughter and our family. I would highly recommend il Fornetto.

Loved this restaurant alot. I brought my BF to this place on fathers day and he loved it, everything from a simple Mediterrean salad to his Salmon Portofino, to his cheesecake was excellent. The restaurant has valet parking which is free just add a little tip for car service and no worries. I did not have to wait to be seated had a reservation. Overall this was a great restaurant just opposite the busy streets of Emmons Ave. The price of all three selection was average. Nothing to break your budget.

Mediocre. Ate here recently. I was disappointed that I was not given the table I had requested since I had made the reservation well in advance. The staff was very courteous. However, the food was mediocre. My soup was tasteless. My main dish looked promising. The portion was generous and the food was attractively plated. However, it looked better than it tasted. I had a chicken dish and it was surprisingly bland. Also, it was on the cold side and I am not usually that fussy about temperature. I don't care if the food is not steaming hot but my food shouldn't taste like it has been cooling on a counter for 15 minutes. I had the warm chocolate cake with ice cream and it was OK but not outstanding. Others in my party were underwhelmed as well. I definitely feel there are restaurants in Brooklyn that serve better food and I will spending my money at those establishments.

FRIENDLY PLACE FOR HORSEPLAYERS. FOOD IS OKAY. SERVICE IS SO-SO. CUSTOMERS ARE FRIENDLY SINCE WE ALL KNOW EACH OTHER BECAUSE OF THE OTB THERE. BIGGEST GRIPE...LOSE THE IPOD MUSIC AT THE BAR AREA.

Never will go back!. I agree more with first review about the service having issues, a gift certificate that I recently purchased was not honored beyond my beleif, and management was saying it was not going to be honored because the source it was purchased from was a mistake, but my gripe is that I paid money for that certificate and managment made no effort to compensate us at all, I refuse to go back to venue that does not care if there customers leave feeling bad.

My apologies. RESTAURANT.COM incorrectly advertized us as an eligible restaurant that accepted their discounted gift certificates. But we didn?t have, nor ever had any agreement with them. We stand behind our gift cards 100%, in matter of fact, our gift cards don?t even expire or incur yearly fees.
We instructed our staff to ease the situation as much as possible, but we simply could not accept invalid gift certificates.
Again,I apologize that you were caught in the middle of this, before they removed us from their website. We hope you understand.
