After being in petstore my entire life. I have shopped in petstores my entire life and have to say this ranks as one of the best.Nothing but great experiences. They have everything and are extremely helpful. Reading these rediculous claims tells me that there are some petstores that are posting these bad reviews. Jealous I guess of one of the best out there.

Grooming. It's wrong how the dogs r treated -They realy dont care about the pets in that store wheather there for sale or getting groomed it's all about the money And the workers there are very rude and the place smells Yes I know it's a pet store but still you can keep it smelling clean.

How can they. I baught fish here, they died right away like the next morning. One was sick, they all got sick and passed away. My turtle died a week after I got him. I hat ethat lady at the cash register Debbie with the rainbow parrot n her shoulder who won't shut up. She overpriced me for the yellow lutino cockatiel bird Buttercup. She lied about the gender, screwed me over. And gave me a bird with one toe missing on one foot. They told me the bird was a boy. I was getting a boy for my female coaktiel pearl bird Thunder. I bring Buttercup home and she starts pecking and bullying thunder around. Buttercup then lays eggs on my lap. I would love to sueeee this place and pull a lawsuuuuit against them. Not fair, not cool.

This Store Is WONDERFUL. This pet store is by far the very best around Brooklyn, with the best prices. I compared all of the other pet stores in the area. The reviewers below must be crazy for saying those negative remarks. When you walk in the store, you can tell that you WILL definitely find what you need here! They have EVERYTHING. I have a lizard and a cat, and their prices are much lower that other stores (even on-line) for pet foods, toys and even grooming. I had my cat groomed and my cat is hard to handle, but the woman did a beautiful job and she was brave, because my cat scratches and bites. They are always polite and helpful and you get no attitude from the workers, like you do in so many other stores in Brooklyn these days. It's a refreshing, happy place and you want to keep going back. Keep up the great work, B. Zoo :)

Worst Groomer in Brooklyn!! Beware!!. I had to give 1 star because the review wouldn't save, but they can't even get one star from me.

This is the worst place to get your pets groomed. I took my little Silky Terrier there to be groomed and they ended up hurting her. They cut the pad on her front paw and just fixed her up and gave her to me. I noticed she was limping and her paw was bleeding when I got home and when I checked her paw I saw a 1/4 size slit on her paw. They never told me anything, I called immediately and they tried to act as if they didn't know what I was talking about. I took her back, and they said they didn't know what happened and that the groomer had left (yeah right, at 2:30 in the afternoon!) After 2 days I realized that it was still bleeding slightly and hurting her. I had to take her to the vet to get something to put on it. I went back to them and they gave me the run around. I hate this place, they should not be able to get away with the things they do. Go to Billy and Tommy's Groomers on Avenue L bet. 92nd and 93rd avenue. They are the best! They are reasonably priced and do a great job.

Rude Staff and Bad Service. I am never going back to this store again. This year, I spent over $700.00 at this store. There is a big fat guy in the marine section; he was very rude to me and looks like he does not like his job. He is always in a bad mood and takes it out on the customers. Also, it takes them a very long time to acknowledge your presence. Well beware of the silent customer because Brooklyn is fragmented with stores just like this one. I am going to spend my money at the World Class Aquarium located on Flatbush Avenue. The staff there are always in good mood, plus very informative. I will just have to endure the extra 15 minutes drive to a professional and friendly driven establishment.

Best Pet Store In Brooklyn. It's hard to believe that anyone would give negative reviews about this pet store. I'm suspicious of some of the reviewers' motives. Sounds like they may be jealous competitors to me..... Anyway, the Brooklyn Zoo has been my neighborhood pet store for many years and it is by far the best in Brooklyn. They have every animal you've ever heard of and the staff is so friendly and eager to help. Their prices are always lower than anywhere else, even Petco & Petland Discount. The store is colorful and interesting and very clean and sanitary. My son's teacher took his 4th grade class there on a school trip so the kids could see all the puppies, kittens, fish, rabbits, etc and they had a great time. If you have a pet or are looking to buy one, I strongly suggest visiting this store.....you will NOT be disappointed.

Worst pet store ever........ I wouldn't shop at the Brooklyn Zoo & Aquarium if it were the last pet store on earth. They don't care for their pets properly. I've seen dirty cages and dogs that look unkempt. It's crowded and hot. Their groomer doesn't have the greatest reputation. Read up about the puppy they cooked to death there, and there are other unpublished grooming incidents that have happened there as well, not as severe thank god. There are plenty of places around to buy pet supplies. I wouldn't recommend going there at all. I know I wouldn't.

The store is very crowded, lots of stock around making it difficult to manuver around the store comfortably.
