Very Thorough!. After reading mixed reviews here, I was unsure about what to expect.

I waited about 20 minutes on a Saturday morning (a little more than I expected), but the appointment made up for it. The vet tech who saw my kitten took his time giving her an initial exam and taking her vitals. He also explained a few things to me as he checked her out. The vet (Dr. Hunziker) took a very close look at her paperwork and asked me about her diet, habits, anything unusual I'd noticed, etc. He gave her a very thorough exam and fully explained the vaccines he recommended based on what I told him of her past and current living situation.

I don't know if this is standard operating procedure (I've only been to one other vet), but they also cleaned her ears very well and trimmed her nails. Bonus!

Love, Love, Love Dr. Hunziker and staff. Everyone there is great! Saved my cat, saved my dog. Dr. H takes his time to thoroughly examine all pets. I've sinced moved to NJ and get terrible service. Contemplating taking my cats back to Dr. H even though its a 90 mile ride.

Saved my pet bird's life. I can't speak for any long term patients, but they saved my pet bird's life. She had caught her toe in her cage - practically ripping it off - and was going in to shock when I rucshed her to see the Doctor here at the last minute. Dr. Hunziker stayed late, amputated the toe, carefully repaired her damaged foot, and helped keep me calm in the process. I feel very lucky and grateful that I was able to find such a doctor. My little baby (a sparrow) is doing beautifully - all thanks to their expert care. They even called to follow up and make sure she was OK! I will be back for any medical needs for my precious baby!

Refused an appointment. I phoned about having our cat - a stray adopted over three months ago - come in for an initial checkup. From the start the assistant was hesitant about making an appointment. I explained my cat had fleas and needed treatment, she told me that left untreated it could develop anemia, etc., but still would not make an appointment. She took my phone number saying they would call me back later that day. An hour before closing time, having not received any return call, I called again to inquire about an appointment - the same person said they would not treat my cat because it was a former stray. She said anyway the Dr was booked up for about two weeks, but she did not offer to make an appointment then or any further service. I don't think this was in line with being a good veterinary facility.
