The go to place for any music instrument. The guys are pretty knowledgeable. They are helpful. the prices could be better, but in Brooklyn, its pretty hard to find another music store around. None the less, they have a good selection and the staff is friendly.

The instrument superstore where musicians of all stripes are welcome to try before they buy.. In Short
Metalhead, classicist, professional or novice--almost every level and interest can be addressed at this nationwide music stop. Rows of keyboards, guitars, drum sets, DJ equipment and orchestral instruments comprise one of the largest and most affordable selections around. Customers are encouraged to give any products an in-store test run. Recording devices, lighting and custom-built instruments are available for the serious musician; beginners will find a collection of method books and sheet music to get them there.

The staff is wanna be rock stars. I've been there a total of 3 times, and each time I have the same experience. The staff has so much attitude, and the store set up is messy. Try to ask questions in the piano room! You literally have to set yourself on fire to get attention.

Guitar center is so much better as far as staff, equipment, and availability.
