From chocolate-covered key lime pies on a stick to the tart original, Steve's is a lovable institution of Red Hook. Why not order a bunch for catering?

Seriously?.
Ive heard of this from various TV shows and review sites. So I was psych to find the place.
First of all, once you go inside youre met with some very rude people. I asked for pie and the lady just treated me like I was a bother.
I chose a medium size, the thing looked unassuming, especially when she slapped it on the table. After paying an astronomical $12, I was expecting this pie to blow my mind.
Not even a little breeze. The thing taste okay but not 12 dollars okay. I guess if you have a "quirky" store in a "quirky" neighborhood selling only one thing, you'll have a higher chance being on TV than a real bakery that does quality work.
