love my color. manny has been doing my hair for almost 10 years now..i love it more and more each and every time. he knows exactly what i want and how i like it. my color is consistantly beautiful. my hair is hot hot hot!!!! and best of all healthy. my hair is forever in his hands

LI to Brooklyn. I have been going to Studio 19 since 2001 and plan to continue doing so even though I now live on LI. The reason I schlepp in from the burbs is one word - Manny, the colorist. I mean where else can you get great color and a floor show? But seriously I not only appreciate his technique but also his eye for what looks good on a person. This latter trait is not altogether common.

An All-in-One Experience. I went to Studio 19, having lived in the neighborhood over 25 years, but never used them. It is busy, busy,busy, and that can feel a little intimidating to a first-timer. However, my masseuse Lydia, escorted me right away to a quiet room downstairs where I changed in order to receive an awesome (and I don't say that lightly) hot stone massage. She has golden hands, and you are completely relaxed by the time it'sover. Something that I'll probably do every month, or every other month from now on. Then, onto my wonderful colorist, Rosa, who intuitively warmed up my near-black, unprocessed hair with a wonderful deep coffee-chestnut color -- subtle but beautiful. I'll see her again, too, in a couple of months. Rosie did my blowout; she's sweet, but it was something that I will do myself nexttime, to my specifications, and save myself that extra $35.

And Studio 19 carries cosmetics, hair products, and there's Tzigal, with her beautiful handcrafted jewelry. All in all, it was a wonderful experience, and I know that I'll be using them from now on. Better late than never I say. Perhaps a little pricey for some items, but if you don't treat yourself now and then, who will? Go and enjoy.

Wonderful work!. I went to Studio 19, and Rosie did my Hair. She was very friendly, bubbly, and just awesome right from the start. Kept me smiling throughout the whole time that I was there. She washed my Hair, then cut it. Then, she styled my Hair just the way I wanted. Even better then what I had expected =]. I would recommend that anyone who goes to Studio 19, ask for Rosie. You wont be disappointed =D.

I LOOKED GORGEOUS!!. In the past i have had my share of hair disasters. I am a very picky and hard to please type of girl. I went to studio 19 to see Monique who was highly recommended to me by many people. It was the best hair experience ever!! Not only did my hair cut come out gorgeous she blew dry my hair spectacularly !! After i went to monique for the hair cut i wanted to try and venture out with a little color so she recommended me to sophia. I have an appointment coming up soon which i am very excited about its one of the few things that i enjoy doing for myself and Monique makes it a very pleasant and relaxing experience!!!

This Salon has all your Needs... I always go to this salon to get my hair cut by Jackie and color by Manny. (both my favorite) They recommended me to get a massage by Lydia. It was the best massage i ever had. So relaxing and professional. She really helped me feel better on my neck and shoulders. You MUST try them ALL..

Great Haircuts. I had been having my (very short) hair done by someone who works out of her apartment. I have become handicapped due to illness and can no longer travel for haircuts. Studio 19 is only 2 blocks from home so I stopped in to make an appointment. I explained that I need someone who is good with short hair, and she made an appointment for me with Ray. From the minute I sat in that chair I knew I'd found a winner. He gave me a great haircut that not only looks good all the time, but is low-maintenance considering that I have a great deal of difficulty using a hair dryer now. Ray is great with short hair but I have seen him doing longer hair as well. Great service and considerate and pleasant staff make this a great place to go. I also bought a gift certificate for my best friend for her birthday. She had a massage and a facial and loved it.

DRITAN IS THE BEST!!. I've been to almost every stylist at Studio 19 and Dritan is by far "the best". I am extremely picky with my hair (like every other woman) and he knows exactly what to do with it. He makes hair look super hott and his blow-outs are the best! Beth is good but her blow-outs are the worst and what's all the fuss about Jackie? She's mediocre. Just like me and my whole family, make an appointment with Dritan ASAP I promise you that he is the best plus he's good to look at too ;)

happy as can be. i loved everything about my expierence. it was friendly and fast. sophia gave me amazing natural looking highlights. i hate fake looking zebra chunks. she listened to what i wanted and im very happy. best of all, i was under the dryer like 10 minutes. other places keep me sitting for over 25. i didnt get a blowout because its just too expensive. but they do give you a blowdryer to do it yourself.

Great Experience but Expensive. I have never had better highlights done anywhere, like I have by Rosa and Jackie gave me a good haircut. I wouldn't praise her to be the "goddess" that some of the reviews do, but I feel this place is very expensive. My highlights, after tipping, costs about $160 and I have very short hair. The haircut, after a tip, cost over $70. How is someone, in this economy, supposed to keep up with an expense like this every 6 weeks?! They're good, but you can find just as good results for half the price.I also feel the place is not that clean. It could use some upgrading, cleaning, and painting. With all the money we're spending, the least they can do is make it more appealing to the eye!
