Omg what happen to faces!!! This salon was the best salon out there until they merged with this " Helene the art of make up" and her ghetto staff she bought in! Please ppl save your money cause its only gonna get robbed from this GYPSY like women that the smell of booze is pouring out of her while she is running around like hurricane! This person and her scamming receptionist add on hiding fees and services so please watch your bill! Smh poor faces what did they get them selfs into!

Review on Faces Salon and Spa. Yesterday I just just got my hair and make-up done at faces for my best friends sweet sixteen. Everything looked amazing! Everyone at the party complemented me and needed to know more about Faces! Faces made me feel and look like a princess. Everyone at Faces was so nice and easy to talk with. If you ever need hair and make-up done i would certainly recommend Faces.

Good Facial. I dont remember the girl name, but she is so good. She looks like a doctor and this is really impresed me first. Then i good comp facial with her and i will be back for her 100%. She has really good hands. She diid amazing upper body and face massage. She is really amazing esthetician!

Faces always makes me feel beautiful. Regardless of any bad talk from these groupon reviews or whoever, faces has always been an amazing salon for me and my family! The service is always top notch and every staff member is great.. I've had my color done by people old and new to faces and have always been happy! Great neighborhood salon for full services

Looking for a new place..... I have been coming here for over 10 years. I must say since the ownership has switched hands it has gotten horrible. They did change the overall look wgich was nice, but now have things for sale on small tables and it looks cheap and cheesy. I just got my hair dyed a few weeks ago, was left sitting in a chair for over 15 minutes waiting to get rinsed. My hair was not properlly dyed (done by Christine). Although Jen is awesome, Princess and Mahogney (till she left) the new staff seems less experienced and slightly unprofessional. I am sad to report after all these years I will be looking elsewhere as many people i know now are.

OMG!!!. My sister and I went this past friday to get hair relaxings at FACES salon on avenue U. We were so excited. (We both have wavy beautiful hair) When we arrived, the lady that was going to do the relaxings was busy so she asked the lady that rinses the hair to put the relaxing on us! This lady has no experiance in hair what so ever- SHE WAS THE WASH LADY!! My sister paid $100 and I paid $120 (since I have longer hair) We were told not to wash our hair for 3 days. After 3 days I took a shower and went to bed. I could'nt wait till the morning to see how it came out dried. The next morning I jumped out of bed and ran to the mirror ONLY TO SEE HORROR!! Not only was my hair the same as before I had the relaxing, but it was wild and dried out!!! I quickly called my sis to hear how her hair came out, only to hear her cursing through the phone. We both went straight back to FACES to show them what happened. You would think that when they would see our hair they would give us our money back -with lifetime membership (not that I would use it). Instead they said its my sister and my hair that's the problem and not them!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND SAVE YOUR HAIR AND MONEY!!

P.S. I never wrote any bad review on any place. Even if it was not the greatest, but I swore to myself that I will let everyone know what happened

Dont waste your money!. Horrible Service! Don’t waste your money! I bought a Groupon for $159. So I made an appointment as always and was excited to try it.When I got to the Salon, the receptionist asked me to make an EXTRA payment of $77 which was supposed to be the tip and gratuity. We didn’t even receive the service yet and they asked us to pay tips upfront. How can someone pay without even getting a service?

The service was terrible. The deal was suppose to include 2 spa manicures with paraffin treatment, 2 spa pedicures with paraffin treatment, two 45-minute specialty facials, two 45-minute aromatherapy massages, and 2 complimentary glasses of wine. To summarize, they didn’t give anything that was promised in the deal.

- They didn’t give the paraffin treatment to either of us.

- The massage and facial wasn’t good and only lasted 30 minutes each (compared to the deal which promised 45 minute massages).

- They never even offered wine

Overall, instead of having nice relaxing spa day, it was a nightmare. I feel totally ripped off and scammed.

The good and the not so good. Well, I got a two for one deal (mani, pedi, facial and massage) for Faces through Groupon so my daughter and I scheduled a visit. I was very annoyed, as crischaba's sister was, to be presented with a bill for tip and taxes when I worked in the door. I paid but still was annoyed. But the service, the people who provided them, and I can't remember their names, were very nice, professional and not at all full of themselves. And they did a really nice job. I particularly enjoyed the facial. I gave both an additional tip. I think the front desk has to trust their employees are good and will receive the tip they deserve. So bottom line,let me make my tipping decision. With such good people, no one should be disappointed.
